An exciting opportunity exists for service driven individuals that are keen to be part of South Africa’s biggest event in sporting history. We are recruiting for a leading international group that will be managing the ticketing at the various soccer stadiums during the 2010 FIFA Worldcup (February 2010 – July 2010), the employer may also require a few individuals to start this year. Applicants must be energetic, service driven, flexible and adaptable and willing to work long hours, after hours, weekends and public holidays. Assistant Ticketing Venue Coordinators are required to support the Venue Coordinators at the various stadiums in their activities. We are recruiting nationally for the following Soccer Stadiums and require 16 Assistant Ticketing Venue Coordinators for various regions such as: Bloemfontein, Cape Town, Gauteng - Soccer City and Ellis Park, Pretoria, Durban, Nelspruit, Polokwane, Port Elizabeth and Rustenburg. Please note that a matric, tertiary qualification about 5+ years’ events management and customer services experience is required.
FIFA Assistant Ticketing Venue Coordinator x 16 (Feb– July 2010)
R200K pa ctc (individual does not get paid for overtime as this is a requirement of the job)

* RustenburgPlease be advised that even thou we require individuals who are in the region of the specified venues the employer is entitled to allocate individuals to other soccer venue sites. You are also welcome to specify which other areas you would be keen on.
Primary Objectives:
To assist the Venue coordinator in project manage the establishment of the local ticketing office for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2009 and the FIFA World Cup 2010 in particular host cities
The successful candidate must have the following:
· Matric
· Tertiary qualification
· Able to work under pressure
· Flexible working hours
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
· Computer literate on MS Office
· Good telephone manner
· Well presented
· 5 plus years Customer Services Experience
· 5 plus years Events management experience (advantage)
· Flexible for domestic travel – relocation would be required between March and July depending on the site allocation
· Self motivated, organised, professional
· Able to multitask without losing focus
· Able to plan tasks within a given period of time
· Ability to work as team and as an individual
· Own transport and drivers licence
· All applicants will have to credit and criminal cleared and the education will be verified
Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:
· Assist the Venue Coordinator in researching possible locations within a host city, based on the requirements provided, put together reports on those visits.
· Assist the venue coordinator overseeing the installation of the location to a required specification, including furniture and facilities.
· Assist the Venue Coordinator in coordinate with supporting members of staff to ensure their own responsibilities are fulfilled
· Assist in overseeing the local ticket collection operation within their host city during the event period.
· Assist in managing of match day ticketing operations including problem resolution.
