THE MESSAGE
Youth and marriage
Hadith Warns Parents

Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam has said: "When he attains maturity get him married. If he attains maturity and his father does not get him married, (and as a result commits a sin,) this sin falls upon the father."

Once a child becomes Baaligh (of age) and mentally matured, parents and guardians should not delay in getting him married. It is Haraam for boys and girls to court. The parents will be sinful if they allow strange men or boys to visit the females of their homes. Parents should not take any command of Allah Ta’aala lightly.

Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam addresses the Youth saying: "O young men, who amongst you can afford to get married, should marry, for this will be a means of restraining the eyes from casting an evil glance and keeping one pure and chaste." (Mishkaat)

Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam encouraged young men to become married so that they be saved from sin and the wrath of Allah.
The Harms of Zina [Adultery/Fornication] are Manifold:
1. Allah Ta’aala becomes very angry.
2. The reckoning in the hereafter will be very severe.
3. The person will enter Jahannum.
4. The Barakah (blessing) of his Rizq (sustenance) is lost.
5. He is deprived from doing good.
6. He becomes hated and cursed in the eyes of the common people.
7. The nation involved in Zina will be afflicted with droughts.
8. The spreading of diseases and plagues.
9. The destruction of the locality.
10. The cause of earthquakes.
11. The birth of illegitimate children.

Anas (RA) reports that Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said: "Imaan is a garb with which Allah clothes whomsoever he wishes. If a person commits adultery this garb is snatched away and if he repents it is again returned" (Kitâb-ul-Kabair).

It is reported that once Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said, "O Muslims, fear adultery as it has six consequences. Three in this world and three in the hereafter. As for the worldly consequences; spiritual light from the face vanishes, life is shortened and a person becomes poverty-stricken. As for the hereafter; it causes Allah’s displeasure, difficult reckoning and it obligates the punishment of Jahannum." (Kitâb-ul- Kabair.)

DUA (PRAYER)
Upon Seeing Inflicted People

It is reported that the Prophet said: "Whoever sees a person that has been inflicted [with anything] and then says: Al-hamdu lil-lãhi 'allathee `ãfãnee mimmã 'ibtalãka bihi, wa fadh-dhalanee `alã katheerin mimman khalaqa tafdheelan. All praise be to Allah who has pardoned me of that which He has tried you with, and made me much better than many of those He has created. [This is not supposed to be heard by the inflicted person. he would not be inflicted with that infliction."

HANDY HINT
To remove the salt deposits that form on clay pots, combine equal parts of white vinegar, rubbing ethanol and water in a spray bottle. Apply the mixture to the pot and scrub with a plastic brush. Let the pot dry before you plant anything in it.

RECIPE
PEANUT CHUTNEY
Ingredients

½ kg peanuts that have been roasted and cleaned. Thereafter grind the peanuts to a paste in a coffee grinder. 2 medium bunches of green dhania - 1 bunch mint - 2 tblsps crushed green chillies - 1 tsp salt - 2 full tblsps crushed garlic - 1 tblsp whole jeeero - 1 cup white vinegar - 2 tblsps desiccated coconut (optional).

Method
In a liquidizer make chutney of dhania, mint, crushed green chillies, salt, garlic, whole jeerro and white vinegar. Add ground peanuts and liquidizer again. Add more vinegar if chutney is too thick. Empty into a large dish and cover. Leave overnight and bottle the next day.

This chutney freezes well. If frozen thaw and mix a little white vinegar.

HEALTH TIP
Selecting and storing of fruit by Rashid Abass

For immediate consumption, select well-ripened fruit only: such fruits are usually soft and sweet smelling. All fruit purchased should be soaked in liquid dishwashing soap for about 10 minutes and rinsed thoroughly with water. A healthier bet is to soak in organic fruit washing formulas. Enchantrix now produces an excellent range of toxic-free cosmetics, toothpastes, toiletries, disinfectants. If fruit is to be consumed later, select unripened fruit and store in a natural fibre fruit container until it ripens, then store in the ‘fridge’. Contact your fruit producer if certain of their produce does not ripen and inform them that you will not care to purchase such produce in the future!

A THOUGHT
It is so easy to let pass by our lives, our days, our hours, and our minutes. It is so easy to take for granted the colour of our kids' eyes, the way the melody in nature rises and falls and disappears and rises again. It is so easy to exist instead of to live.

THE SMILE
How to Deal with Telemarketers

If they want to loan you money, tell them you just filed for bankruptcy and you could sure use some money.
If they say they're John Doe from XYZ Company, ask them to spell their name. Then ask them to spell the company name. Then ask them where it is located, how long it has been in business, how many people work there, how they got into this line of work, are they married?, kids?, etc. Continue asking them personal questions or questions about their company for as long as necessary.
Say "No", over and over. Be sure to vary the sound of each one, and keep a rhythmic tempo, even as they are trying to speak. This is most fun if you can do it until they hang up.
Tell them to talk VERY SLOWLY, because you want to write EVERY WORD down.
