UNDERSTANDING THE NOBLE QURAN
SURAH AN-NAAZIAAT: 79
(Those Who Pull Out)
IN THE NAME OF ALLAH THE BENEFICENT THE MOST MERCIFUL

Whereas for the one who feared to stand before his Lord, and restrained his self from the (evil) desire, [40]
the Paradise will be the abode. [41]

COMMENTARY: The second level is the middle one. A person, in this stage, may think of committing sin. Then he may remember that he has to account for his deeds before Allah [on the Day of Reckoning]. As a result, he abandons the thought of committing sin. The complement to this level is that one abstains from doubtful things and those acts that are permissible in themselves, but there is apprehension that if committed, they may lead one to slip into impermissible acts. Sayyidna Nu'man Ibn Bashir narrates that the Holy Prophet Salallahu Alyhi wa Sallam said: "He who abstained from doubtful things has protected his honour and religion. He who indulged in doubtful things will eventually indulge in forbidden things." The expression 'doubtful things' signifies those acts about which one is not certain whether they are permissible or not, both possibilities being equal.

THIS IS WHAT ISLAM HAS TAUGHT US 1400 YEARS AGO

--------------------------------------------------------
There was a one hour interview on CNBC with Warren Buffet, the second richest man who has donated $31 billion to charity. Here are some very interesting aspects of his life:

1. He bought his first share at age 11 and he now regrets that he started too late!
2. He bought a small farm at age 14 with savings from delivering newspapers.
3. He still lives in the same small 3-bedroom house in mid-town Omaha, that he bought after he got married 50 years ago. He says that he has everything he needs in that house. His house does not have a wall or a fence.
4. He drives his own car everywhere and does not have a driver or security people around him.
5. He never travels by private jet, although he owns the world's largest private jet company.
6. His company, Berkshire Hathaway, owns 63 companies. He writes only one letter each year to the CEOs of these companies, giving them goals for the year.
He never holds meetings or calls them on a regular basis. He has given his CEO's only two rules. Rule number 1: do not lose any of your share holder's money.
Rule number 2: Do not forget rule number 1.
7. He does not socialize with the high society crowd. His past time after he gets home is to make himself some pop corn and watch Television.
8. Bill Gates, the world's richest man met him for the first time only 5 years ago. Bill Gates did not think he had anything in common with Warren Buffet. So he had scheduled his meeting only for half hour. But when Gates met him, the meeting lasted for ten hours and Bill Gates became a devotee of Warren Buffet.
9. Warren Buffet does not carry a cell phone, nor has a computer on his desk.

His advice to young people: "Stay away from credit cards and invest in yourself and Remember:
A. Money doesn't create man but it is the man who created money.
B. Live your life as simple as you are.
C. Don't do what others say, just listen to them, but do what you feel is good.
D. Don't go on brand name; just wear those things in which u feel comfortable.
E. Don't waste your money on unnecessary things; just spend on them who are really in need rather.
F. After all it's your life then why give chance to others to rule our life."

DUA (PRAYER)
It is reported that Ibn 'Umar said: Rarely would the Messenger of Allah get up from a seated gathering till he would supplicate with the following petition for his companions: 'Allãhumma 'aqsim lanã min khashyatika mã tahoolu bihi baynanã wa bayna ma'ãseeka, wa min tã'a, wa min tã'atika mã tuballighunã bihi jannataka, wa minal yaqeeni mã tuhawwinu bihi 'alaynã masã'ibad-dunyã, 'allãhumma matti'nã bi'asmã'ina, wa 'absãrinã, wa quwwatinã mã 'ahyaytanã, waj'ak hul-wãritha minnã, waj'al tha'ranã 'alãmen thalamanã, wansurnã 'alã men, 'ãdãnã, wa lã taj'al museebatanã fee deeninã, wa lã taj'alid-dunyã 'akbara hamminã, wa lã mablagha 'ilminã, wa lã tusallit 'alaynã men lã yarhamunã. O' my 'ilãh part for us fear of You which You cause to come between us and the acts of disobedience to You, obedience to You through which You deliver us to your Garden, and of surety with which You make the calamities of the World easy for us to bear. O' my 'ilãh grant us joy in our hearing, our sight, and our strength so long as You keep us alive, and make them of the things we leave behind at death [meaning keep them well till we die], and make our retaliation to be upon those that have transgressed upon us, and cause us victory over those that have made us their enemies, and do not let our calamity be in our faith, and do not make the world the biggest of our concerns, nor the limit of our knowledge, and do not empower over us who will not have mercy upon us.

HANDY HINT
Tired tennis balls can be given new life by wrapping individually in foil and heating for half and hour in the oven at 200°F to restore their bounce. They can be reheated several times.

A THOUGHT
One of the great devotees having been asked about his opinion concerning a hermit whom others had censured in their conversation, he replied: 'I do not see any external blemishes on him and do not know of internal ones.'

Whomsoever thou seest in a religious habit
Consider him to be a religious and good man
And, if thou knowest not his internal condition,
What business has the muhtasib inside the house?

THE SMILE
A sales rep, an administration clerk and the manager are walking to lunch when they find an antique oil lamp. They rub it and a Genie comes out in a puff of smoke. The Genie says, "I usually only grant three wishes, so I'll give each of you just one."

"Me first! Me first!" says the admin clerk. "I want to be in the Bahamas, driving a speedboat, without a care in the world." Poof! She's gone.

In astonishment, "Me next! Me next!" says the sales rep. "I want to be in Hawaii, relaxing on the beach with my personal assistant." Poof! He's gone.

"OK, you're up," the Genie says to the manager. The manager says, “I want those two back in the office after lunch."

Moral of the story: always let your boss have the first say.
