THE MESSAGE
When Death shall Die

We are all born to die. Death is the greatest and perhaps the most neglected reality of life. Some fleeting moments and then off we go. We may fall to the deception of this transience -- but not for long: the dawn of life relentlessly gives way to the dusk of death everyday only to herald the advent of a new dawn, a new life. The process continues and life goes on under the shadow of death. Inexorable is this practice, unrelenting this law. And then one day, the glorious sun and the milky moon, the dazzling stars and the stormy seas – would also meet their fate:

At the time [O People!] when the sky is rent asunder, and when the stars are scattered, and when the seas burst forth, and when the graves are opened, at that time each one [of these people who have wronged their souls] will come to know what he has sent forward and what he has left behind. (82:1-5)

And then, as this verse says, man would be made to stand before his Lord. He who was vanquished by death would now forever be free from its claws: ‘Death shall be no more: death thou shalt die'. But realize he should: Death he may have overcome – but now he would face a dilemma more critical: the blissful life of Paradise or the torment of Hell. Before such a time comes, would that we all remember that on that fateful day: The disbeliever would cry out: ‘Would that I were dust'. (78:40

DUA (PRAYER)
The Dua when something you dislike happens, or for when you fail to achieve what you attempt to do. Qadarullahi wa ma shaa'a'fa'ala. What Allah decreed and what he wishes will be done.

POEM
When a mind and such a heart
Is snatched from life as we know,
And what prevails, is evils dark
Then clear, the sight is then shown,

Are my eyes so wrong for truth it see's
And ears hear words mouths speak,
And my heart can tell what men hide deep
And plot against me?

Am I so wrong for speaking out?
When told be still, say naught?
See I fear no man, and hold no doubt
In my lord, I love Allah.

So I ask dear Lord, forgive me please
My sins and my demons inside,
Remove hardships, bring me ease
So that one day this Ummah will rise.

To be a nation great, and in your eyes
A nation well deserved,
To be loved and embraced, and not despised
And respected by all on Earth.

To those whose lives are lost in times
When evil men's deeds govern lands,
You'll be remembered dear brothers and sisters of mine
One day we'll meet again.

NEWS
New laws regarding license plates for cars are set to come in. Vehicle owners countrywide will have to pop rivet or screw their number plates onto the body of their vehicle from January 1 2009.

RECIPE
SWEETCORN SQUARES/ LAGAN
Ingredients
500G Chicken Fillets - 1 Onion - 1-2 tblsps Ghee/Butter - Salt to taste1 Slice bread soaked in ½ cup milk - 1 Tin Cream style Sweetcorn (310g) - 2 Eggs - ½ cup flour - 1 tsp baking powder - 1 tsp salt - 1 tsp ground dry dhana - 1 tsp ground jeeroo - 1 tblsp ghee - Green chillies and dhana chopped to taste.

Method
Cut meat into small pieces and cook with chopped onion add ghee and salt to taste. Mix other ingredients together and pour into greased pan. Put meat evenly over and press lightly into mixture. Bake in moderate oven for ½ hour or until cooked through. Cool and cut into squares. Dip in beaten egg and fry in oil. Use any left over chicken filling for the meat.

HANDY HINT
When you receive junk mail which includes return envelopes, use the envelopes to store small items such as seeds, pictures etc.

A THOUGHT
• Living well really is the best revenge. Being miserable because of a bad or former relationship just might mean that the other person was right about you.
• Work is good, but for family time, it's not that important.
• And finally... Be really nice to your friends and family. You never know when you are going to need them to empty your bedpan.

THE SMILE
When Joe's wife ran away he got so depressed that his doctor sent him to see a psychiatrist. Joe told the psychiatrist his troubles and said, "Life isn't worth living."

"Don't be stupid, Joe," said the psychiatrist. "Let work be your salvation. I want you to totally submerge yourself in your work. Now, what do you do for a living?"

"I clean out septic tanks." Joe replied.
