THE MESSAGE
Muslim’s Position Towards Western Civilization
Sermon (Khutbah) of Sh Salaah Al-Budair – Imam of Haram

------------------------------------------------------------
We are nowadays confronted with a relentless war waged by the materialistic western civilization and culture that burns its producers and afflicts them with calamities, misery, immorality, disruption, suicide and all kinds of evils. It is in fact, a civilization that turns their conducts upside down, disorganizes their affairs, exposes them to toil and corrupts their minds. It is a civilization that knows no difference between lawful and unlawful, useful and harmful. It is full of useless markets, clubs and vacant minds! A civilization that is incapable of protecting individuals’ honor nor capable of providing them with meaningful sense of happiness in their life. Such is the reward of those who turn away from the Lord of all the worlds. Theirs is a civilization that is destroyed by its own products. It is a civilization that races towards creating all means of trouble, disturbance and destruction. read more

DUA/PRAYER
FOR GOOD MEMORY
Read the following 10 times a day. It is a very effective Dua for acquiring good memory and not to suffer forgetfulness:

First recite verse 79 Sura Al-Anbiya Juz 17: Fa fahhamnaha Sulayman wakullan aataynahu hukmaw wa ilma.Wa sakkharna ma’a Dawuda wa’l-jibala yusabbihna wattayr wakunna fa’ileen.

Then read the following: Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyumu Ya Rabba Musa waHarun waNuh waIbrahim waIsa waMuhammadin Sallallahu alayhi wasallam Akrimni bi jawdatil hifdhi wasur’ati fahhmi, Warzuqni hikmata wama’rifatal ilmi wa thabat- dhihni wa’l aqli wa’l-hilmi bi haqqi sayyidina Muhmmadin Sallallahu alayhi wasallam Ya Rabbal Alamin.

O’ Living, O’ One Through Whom All Subsists, O’ Lord of Musa, Harun, Nuh, Ibrahim, and Muhammad, honour me with good memory and understanding, Bestow me with wisdom, true knowledge and a firm intellect and mind with the blessing of Prophet Muhammad (Allah bless him and give him peace).

One of the most importing things is to avoid sins, and if you do commit a sin, one should perform two Rakaats of Taubah and ask forgiveness from Allah and the same each time.

THE STORY
The Value of Parents
Ahad Ramjaun
------------
A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and he handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said:

For cutting the grass: $5.00
For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00
For going to the store for you: .50
Babysitting my kid brother while you went shopping: .25
Taking out the garbage: $1.00
For getting a good report card: $5.00
For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00
Total owed: $14.75

Well, his mother looked at him standing there, the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:

For 9 months I carried you while you were growing inside me: No Charge.
For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you: No Charge.
For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years: No Charge.
For all the nights that were filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead: No Charge.
For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose: No Charge,
Son, When you add it up, the cost of my love is: No Charge.
When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said, "Mum, I sure do love you".

And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL"

POEM
The Dunya
Have you ever known how it creeps
discreetly into the heart disguised like sweets
Unmindful you are, and quietly it peeps
and through the finest crevice, in it seeps

A clean heart at first becomes restless
'coz a live soul repulses everything senseless
For a lifeless soul always remains relentless
unmindful that life in this world is not endless

When the heart with noor faces an attack
it realizes that something is gone badly slack
The soul thats alert fights quickly back
otherwise its amateur quickly getting black

Sometimes, the alert soul realizes whats happenning
as if it sees dunya quietly entering
But its look is too awesome and really attracting
It tempts him like a beaute testing his craving

If its during days of punctuality with zikr
and abundant da'wat and everyday fikr
making daily tilawat, and Salaah of AbuBakr
with knowledge of Allah's bounties constantly in shukr

Then dunya stands no chance, and takes a U turn
As it knocked the wrong door, its fingers had a burn
To Allah, the soul drew closer, a lesson we learn
A reward for one who's perpetually in concern

Then comes the person who would like to worry
But to make a start he's always in tarry
He fears any sacrifice, and cruises a ferry
and loves his haddock, between trees of berry

Yet he says he's among those who are deeni concious
But he is actually spiritually unconcious
For, no excitement he misses, and things must be spacious
Food must be good and tasting very delicious

He's scared of dunya and yearns a life of prudence
But in ta'leem and zikr, there's no recrudence
A'maal of da'wat are done on convenience
And he justifies his doings just for credence

Such a soul is exposed to imminent trouble
It cannot advance at a pace thats double
Its dreams are busy transforming to rubble
Remorse waits in ambush, when its going to wobble

Now, the decision is certainly all-yours
You have to decide your final course
Be the former, for the latter is off-course
You'll be much happier and successsful of course.

A THOUGHT
Accept His command, and you will be able to execute it. Seek union with Him, and you will find yourselves united. Exertion is giving thanks for Allah's blessings. Think ye that your fatalism gives such thanks? Giving thanks for blessings increases blessings, but fatalism snatches those blessings from your hands. Your fatalism is to sleep on the road. Sleep not till ye behold the gates of the king's palace.
