Adhering
To The Qur'aan And Sunnah Is The Way To Salvation

These
days, Islamic societies are being relentlessly attacked by
Christianisation campaigns, impudent temptations and open
war through misleading mass media controlled by callers to
evil and corruption in order to westernise these societies
and to divert them from their religion and path.
Indeed, the unbelieving nations live a disgraced life, suffer
in infected sludge and move in moral and religious darkness.
While some are alcoholics, others are addicted to music and
another large number of them are enslaved by their lust. Their
statutes are full of oppressive and unjust laws which they
use to decide matters relating to their lives, chastity and
properties.
“And he for whom Allaah has not appointed light for
him there is no light.” (An Noor: 40).
However, it is very saddening that some Islamic societies
have been affected by this westernisation so much so that
it has attacked their established concepts, changed their
customs, weakens their strength and destroys many aspects
of their lives. Allaah says: “And they will never cease
fighting you until they turn you back from your religion if
they can.” (Al-Baqarah: 217). read

| DUA/PRAYER |
Ibn
Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger
of Allah (PBUH) used to say when he was in distress:
"La
ilaha illallahul-Azimul-Halim. La ilaha illallahu Rabbul-`Arshil-`Azim.
La ilaha illallahu Rabbus-samawati, wa Rabbul-ardi, wa Rabbul-`Arshil-Karim.
(None
has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Incomparably
Great, the Compassionate. None has the right to be worshipped
but Allah the Rubb of the Mighty Throne. None has the right
to be worshipped but Allah the Rubb of the heavens, the
Rubb of the earth, and the Rubb of the Honourable Throne).''
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
The only medicine in a time of distress is the remembrance
of Allah Whose Help alone should be sought. This Duaa contains
words which glorify Allah and exalt Him far above all else.
It is desirable to recite these words when one is in distress
as this is exactly what the Prophet (PBUH) used to recite
in such situations. |

Authorities
in Baghdad have imposed a three-day curfew on the Iraqi capital
as clashes between the Mahdi Army and US-backed Iraqi forces
continue. Iraqi prime Minister, Nri al –Malikik says
yhe fighting has spread from Bastra to Baghdad.
An
aide of Zimbabwean presidential hopeful Simba Makoni has alleged
that Israeli intelligence group Mossad has been hired by President
Robert Mugabe to ensure he wins the upcoming elections It
has also been alleged that Israeli intelligence has helped
Zanu-PF make the voters' roll inaccessible to the opposition,
who had wanted to use it to conduct more focused campaigning.
Information technology expert Valentine Sinemane confirmed
last night that the electronic version of the voters' roll,
was compiled by an Israeli company called Nirkuv Projects.
The roll was provided in the form of picture files of the
actual voters' roll rather than in an electronic format.
Nobel
peace laureate Archbishop Desmond Tutu has warned that the
alleged corruption in the arms deal will not simply go away.
Tutu made the statement in a lecture entiltled “the
State of Democracy in South Africa” last night in honour
of former Justice Minister, Dullah Omar.
South
African motorists will know today whether or not the petrol
price is going to increase and by how much. Analysts say the
price of 95-octane unleaded petrol is likely to rise by 55
c/l and that of diesel by between R1.15 and R1.09 a litre. |
