Three
members of Hamas' fighters have been killed during an Israeli
assault on the Gaza Strip. The three Palestinians were killed
in an air raid called in support of Israeli ground operations
near the city of Rafah.
China
has announced a three-year plan to rebuild Sichuan province
as the death toll passed the 55,000 mark 11 days after the
massive earthquake. Another 25,000 people are still missing.
Journalists
were warned to stay away from Du Noon township near Milnerton
outside Cape Town today. Police report that shots are being
fired. People were seen walking with their possessions along
the N7 this morning, away from the township looking for safety.
Eskom
CEO, Jacob Maroga, says uncontrollable and unpredictable fuel
and capital costs were key principals in the proposed 53 percent
electricity tariff increase. He was speaking at the National
Energy Regulator of SA public hearings in Pretoria yesterday.
Minister
in the Presidency Essop Pahad will not be available to serve
in public office after next year’s elections. Pahad
is the latest government figure to announce his intentions
after Public Enterprises Minister Alec Erwin went public about
his resignation.

BALTI
CHICKEN

Ingredients
2 tblsp oil - 1 ½ kgs boneless chicken breast ? cut
into 1 inch cubes - 2 cups balti sauce - 1 bell pepper diced
- 1 small onion sliced - 1 ripe tomato chopped - 1 tblsp
dried methi bajee leaves chopped, dhana leaves, sprinkle
of garam masala - Lemon Wedges and mango chutney for garnish.
Method
Heat wok or nonstick sauté pan over medium heat.
Add oil, when hot add chicken and stir ry until browned.
Add remaining ingredients except salt and garnish and stir
fry until hot and bubbling. Lower heat and cook 15 to 20
minutes stirring occasionally. If sauce looks to dry add
¼ cup water. Add salt to taste. Garnish with Dhana
leaves sprinkle of garam masala lemon wedges and chutney.

| COOKING
TIP |
Buying
Lemons and Lime: Buy large lemons and limes, they
tend to be much sweeter. Make sure that the skin is thin,
those are much juicier.
To
obtain more of the juice from lemons, limes or oranges,
microwave on high for 30 seconds and then let stand for
a couple of minutes before cutting and squeezing. Rolling
them between your hand and the counter will also help release
more juice.

Martin had just received his brand new drivers license.
The family troops out to the driveway, and climbs in the
car, where he is going to take them for a ride for the first
time. Dad immediately heads for the back seat, directly
behind the newly minted driver.

bet you're back there to get a change of scenery after all
those months of sitting in the front passenger seat teaching
me how to drive," says the beaming boy to his father.
"Nope,"
comes dad's reply, "I'm gonna sit here and kick the
back of your seat as you drive, just like you've been doing
to me all these years."
