| HADITH/SAYINGS OF MUHAMMAD
(SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WA SALLAM) |
Abu
Sa`id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said, "How
can I feel at ease when the Angel of the Trumpet, (Israfil)
has put his lips to the Trumpet and is waiting for the order
to blow it". He (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) perceived
as if this had shocked his Companions, so he (Sallallahu
Alayhi Wa Sallam) told them to seek comfort through reciting:
`Hasbunallah wa ni`mal-Wakil [Allah (Alone) is Sufficient
for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us)]".
[At-Tirmidhi]
Commentary:
1. This Hadith tells us about the fear of Allah and the
fright of the Hereafter entertained by the Prophet (Sallallahu
Alayhi Wa Sallam) and his Companions. It has a lesson for
us that how, in spite of being innocent and having the assurance
of the forgiveness of Allah, they were always fearful of
Allah and the horrors of the Day of Resurrection. As against
them, we are immersed in sins, neglect and violate the Divine
injunctions day and night but even then we have neither
the fear of Allah nor the fright of the Day of Resurrection.
2.
In the event of fear and anxiety one should seek the help
of Allah and frequently recite the Verse of the Noble Qur'an
"Hasbunallahu wa ni`mal Wakil'' [Allah (Alone) is Sufficient
for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs (for us).]''
(3:173).

Tandoori Naan
2
cups bread flour/ cake
2 cups self raising flour
1 tsp instant dry yeast
50ml yoghurt/ maas
1 tsp salt
1 tsp whole fennel (saumf)
Method:
Mixed
all ingredients together and use sufficient warm water to
make a soft dough. Palce dough in a covered dish and allow
to rise until doubled in volume. Divide the dough into 4-5
parts, roll out and mould them into oval shapes. Prick
with a fork and bake at 240 degrees until done.

on FRIENDS!

A real friend wishes his companions well,
He's not one who allows them to get close to hell,
Always be careful of the friends you Choose,
So, in the end, Jannah you will not lose,
If you find your companion is not stopping your wrong,
then, be weary, his friendship is not strong.
If you see the pattern made,
that when you are under your friend's shade,
Your Imaan begins to fade,
Leave the worthless creation,
make friends with Allah, Surely that is a high station!.
A dervish who had knowledge of our present situation,
Once told his students the following dictation,
"The meeting of people will never enrich you,
save with the gibberish of useless gossip.
So diminish your meeting with people,
except for knowledge or to improve your condition"

| THE SMILE |
The
photographer for a national magazine was assigned to get
photos of a great forest fire. Smoke at the scene was too
thick to get any good shots, so he frantically called his
home office to hire a plane. "It will be waiting for
you at the airport!" he was assured by his editor.
As soon as he got to the small, rural airport, sure enough,
a plane was warming up near the runway. He jumped in with
his equipment and yelled, "Let's go! Let's go!"
The pilot swung the plane into the wind and soon they were
in the air. "Fly over the north side of the fire,"
said the photographer, "and make three or four low
level passes." "Why?" asked the pilot. "Because
I'm going to take pictures! I'm a photographer, and photographers
take pictures!" said the photographer with great exasperation.
After a long pause the pilot said, "You mean you're
not the instructor?"
