RAMADHAAN, ONE OF THE GREATEST MONTHS OF THE YEAR

Alhamdulillah, Praise is for Allah who has made the month of Ramadhaan one of the greatest months in the year. He (Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala) showed us favour by allowing us to fast its days and pray during its nights. Its days are honoured with fasting, while its nights are brightened with prayer.

I praise Allah and thank Him for the favours that He has shown us. I bear witness that there is no god or deity worth of worship except Allah alone. He (Subhaanahu Wa Ta'ala) is the one who is fully Complete and Perfect in all respects. I bear witness that Muhammed (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) is Allah's slave and Final Messenger. He is the greatest of those who prayed and fasted. He (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) was the most pious and obedient. I ask Allah to send His Salah on Him (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) and his companions.

Amma Ba'du: O Mankind! The greatness, beauty, honours and prestige of the month of Ramadhaan is directly correlated with the actions of devotion that are sanctioned and obligated in it. Obedience to Allah is encapsulated in the total submission to Allah. Spiritual devotions restrict the self from following its whims and evil desires. The soul takes over the physical presence. It initiates actions of piety that allow it to accept Allah’s blessing more readily.

Ibad Allah! The new moon signaled to the all Muslims, in the east and west, the beginning of a month (Ramadhaan) that is to bring forth a positive change in the character, habits and deeds of all who observe it. After eleven months, once again the Muslims ask where did the time go? The month of Ramadhaan returned very quickly, and with it the fond memories of devotion and 'Ibada. Time marches on, unfazed and unrelenting in its consumption of day and night. A person, forty years old, may wake up one day and ask himself where have all the days and nights that he has lived gone. read more

ACCEPTANCE OF DUA

It is reported of the Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) that he said:

"One who wakes up at night and says: Lã 'ilãha 'illa 'allãhu wahdahu la shareeka lahu, lahul mulku wa lahul hamdu, wa huwa `ala kulli shay'in qadeerun, 'al-hamdu lil-lahi, wa subhãnallãhi, wa lã 'ilãha 'illa 'allãhu, wa 'allãhu 'akbaru, wa lã hawla wa lã quwwata 'illã bil-lahi 'al-`alyyil-`atheemi."

"There is no 'ilãh except Allah, Alone, no associate does He have, his is the Kingdom, to Him is all praise, and He is very able to do every thing. All praise be to Allah, Glory be Allah, there is no 'ilãh except Allah, and Allah is greater [than every thing]. There is neither might, nor strength except by Allah the High the Magnificent."

Then says: 'Allãhumma 'ighfirlee," O' my 'ilãh forgive me." Or supplicates, he will be answered, then if he makes ablution and prays his prayer would be accepted."

12 slices bread

FILLING:
500g chicked (cubed/shredded)
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp chicken spice
1 tsp green chillies grounded
1 tsp mustard
2 tbs chilli garlic sauce
¼ cup mixed veg. (boiled)
1 tomato (chopped)
1 tbs. Butter
1 tbs oil
coriander leaves (chopped)

SPICY EGGS:
3 beaten eggs
coriander leaves (chopped)
½ tsp salt
½ tsp red chillies

METHOD:
Combine the chicken cubes with spices, mixed veg and tomato.
Cook withthe butter and oil.
Cool. Add chopped coriander leaves. Make sandwiches with the filling.
Cut each sandwich into 4.
Combine eggs, coriander, salt and red chillies. Beat.
Dip in spicy beaten eggs and breadcrumbs and fry in shallow oil till golden brown.
Serve with spicy sauce.

SPICY SAUCE:
1 x 400g chilli sauce
1 x 470g Mrs Balls Mixed fruity chutney
½-1 cup tomato sauce
2 tbs tamarind soaked in ½ cup vinegar
½ cup oil
curry leaves
Sesame seeds
mustard seeds
2 tbs apricot jam

METHOD:
Put first 4 ingred. in a pot over low heat. Allow to simmer.
Place oil in separate saucepan. Add curry leaves, sesame seeds and mustard seeds. Allow to braise.Add to the first mixt. Lastly add apricot jam.

2. Inside the cage, hang a banana on a string and place a set of stairs under it. Before long, a monkey will go to the stairs and start to climb towards the banana.

3. As soon as he touches the stairs, spray all of the monkeys with cold water. After a while, another monkey makes an attempt with the same result - all the monkeys are sprayed with cold water. Pretty soon, when another monkey tries to climb the stairs, the other monkeys will try to prevent it.

4. Now, turn off the cold water. Remove one monkey from the cage and replace it with a new one. The new monkey sees the banana and wants to climb the stairs. To his surprise and horror, all of the other monkeys attack him. After another attempt and attack, he knows that if he tries to climb the stairs, he will be assaulted.

5. Next, remove another of the original five monkeys and replace it with a new one. The newcomer goes to the stairs and is attacked. The previous newcomer takes part in the punishment with enthusiasm.

6. Again, replace a third original monkey with a new one. The new one makes it to the stairs and is attacked as well. Two of the four monkeys that beat him have no idea why they were not permitted to climb the stairs, or why they are participating in the beating of the newest monkey.

7. After replacing the fourth and fifth original monkeys, all the monkeys that have been sprayed with cold water have been replaced. Nevertheless, no monkey ever again approaches the stairs.

Why not?

Because as far as they know that's the way it's always been around here.
