The 99 Club

Once upon a time, there lived a King who, despite his luxurious lifestyle, was neither happy nor content. One day, the King came upon a servant who was singing happily while he worked. This fascinated the King; why was he, the Supreme Ruler of the Land, unhappy and gloomy, while a lowly servant had so much joy. The King asked the servant, " Why are you so happy?"

The man replied, " Your Majesty, I am nothing but a servant, but my family and I don't need too much - just a roof over our heads and warm food to fill our tummies ."The king was not satisfied with that reply. Later in the day, he sought the advice of his most trusted advisor. After hearing the King's woes and the servant's story, the advisor said, " Your Majesty, I believe that the servant has not been made part of The 99 Club." "The 99 Club? And what exactly is that?" the King inquired.

The advisor replied, "Your Majesty, to truly know what The 99 Club is, place 99 Gold coins in a bag and leave it at this servant's doorstep ." When the servant saw the bag, he took it into his house. When he opened the bag, he let out a great shout of joy... So many gold coins! He began to count them. After several counts, he was at last convinced that there were 99 coins. He wondered, " What could've happened to that last gold coin? Surely, no one would leave 99 coins! "

He looked everywhere he could, but that final coin was elusive. Finally, exhausted, he decided that he was going to have to work harder than ever to earn that gold coin and complete his collection. From that day, the servant's life was changed. He was overworked, horribly grumpy, and castigated his family for not helping him make that 100th gold coin. He stopped singing while he worked.

Witnessing this drastic transformation, the King was puzzled. When he sought his advisor's help, the advisor said, "Your Majesty, the servant has now officially joined The 99 Club." He continued, "The 99 Club is a name given to those people who have enough to be happy but are never contented, because they're always yearning and striving for that extra 1 telling to themselves: "Let me get that one final thing and then I will be happy for life ."

"We can be happy, even with very little in our lives, but the minute we're given something bigger and better, we want even more! We lose our sleep, our happiness, we hurt the people around us; all these as a price for our growing needs and desires. That's what joining The 99 Club is all about.

Simply amazing...

* Bigger than Facebook, Twitter and all other Social groups, the 99 club boasts the largest membership on the planet.
* If the 99 club was to be put into a country in would be the most populated on earth, nay, the most populated continent.
* One does not require a mobile or any other fancy gadget. The only requirement to join is a desire.

How to refrain from joining the club?

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "Increase in your remembrance of the destroyer of pleasures (ie. death).

FIQH

SALAATUL ISHRAAQ

Q. Explain Salaatul Ishraaq?
A. Salaatul Ishraaq is performed about 15 minutes after sunrise. After the Fajr Salaah one should sit at the same place and engage in Durood, Zikr, Tasbeeh, Quraan or listen to a Deeni talk then perfrom Salaatul Ishraaq. One can also perfrom the Salaah after one has indulged in other activities (activities that is not classified as Ibaadah) however the reward will be less.

Q. Explain the method of perfroming Salaatul Ishraaq?
A. Salaatul Ishraaq is performed in the same way like all the other Salaat. One can perform either 2 or 4 Rakaats. It is a Nafl (optional) Salaah therefore when making intention a person should mention that it is a Nafl Salaah.

Q. What are the rewards of perfroming this Salaah?
A. Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "He who performs Fajr Salaah with Jamaat and remains seated in the same place engaging in Zikr until after sunrise and thereafter performs 2 Rakaats Nafl Salaah, will obtain the reward of one Hajj and one Umrah." (Tirmizi)

The above Hadeeth describes the perfect and complete reward however if for some reason a person missed Fajr Salaah with Jamaat or a person indulged in worldly activities after the Fajr Salaah, he can still perform Salaatul Ishraaq with the reward being less. Salaatul Ishraaq can also be performed by a female. It is not necessary that she performs Fajr with Jamaat.

Other narrations mention that if a person performs this Salaah, all his sins will be forgiven and if he dies the same day, he will be directly admitted to Jannah. If a person performs this Salaah, Allah Ta’aala will help him in accomplishing all his jobs during the rest of the day.

Q. Is Salaatul Ishraaq performed everyday?
A. Salaatul Ishraaq is performed everyday except the two days of Eid for it is not permissible to perform any Nafl Salaah before the Eid Salaah.
