THE STORY
This happened in one of world’s biggest cosmetics companies. The company received a complaint that a consumer had bought a soap box that was empty.

Immediately the authorities isolated the problem to the assembly line, which transported all the packaged boxes of soap to the delivery department. For some reason, one soap box went through the assembly line empty.

Management asked its engineers to solve the problem. Post-haste, the engineers worked hard to devise an X-ray machine with high- resolution monitors manned by two people to watch all the soap boxes that passed through the line to make sure they were not empty.

No doubt, they worked hard and they worked fast but they spent whoopee amount to do so. But when a workman was posed with the same problem, he did not get into complications of X-rays, etc but instead came out with another solution.

He bought a strong industrial electric fan and pointed it at the assembly line. He switched the fan on, and as each soap box passed the fan, it simply blew the empty boxes out of the line.

Moral: Always look for simple solutions. Devise the simplest possible solution that solves the problem. And, learn to focus on solutions not on problems.

SUNNAH, (PRACTISES OF MUHAMMAD Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam)

  • For the Muqtadee, to make intention of the Imaam, angels and pious Jinn and of the Muqtadees on the right and left side.
  • For the Munfarid (one who reads alone), to make intention of the angels only.
  • For the Muqtadee, to make Salaam along with the Imaam.
  • To make the second Salaam in a softer tone than the first Salaam.
  • For the Masbooq (a person who had joined the congregation late), to wait for the Imaam to finish.

Note: In Rukoo the fingers should be spread apart, and in Sajdah they should be close together. (Noorul Eedhaah)

PARTICULAR DIFFERENCES IN THE SALAAH OF WOMEN

  • At the time of Takbeer-e-Tahreemah (the first Takbeer), a woman should raise both hands to the shoulders, but should not take them out from her scarf (head-covering).
  • A woman should fold her hands on her chest and should put the palm of her right hand on the back of the palm of her left hand. She should attach both her arms very close to the sides and should keep the ankles of her feet joined together.
  • In Sajdah, women should not keep their feet up but should take them out on their right hand side. They should perform their Sajdah with their bodies pressed and lowered as much as possible in such a way that the stomach touches the thighs and the arms and the sides are together. She should place both the elbows on the ground.
  • When in Qa'dah (Sitting posture of Salaah), a woman (should sit on the left side and) take out both of her feet on the right side. She should place both hands on the thighs and she should keep the fingers properly closed together.

THE SMILE
A man drives to a filling station and has his tank filled up. The gas pumper spots two penguins sitting in the back seat of the car. He asks the driver, "What's up with the penguins in the back seat?" The man in the car says "I found them. I asked myself what to do with them, but I haven't had a clue."

The clerk ponders a bit then says, "You should take them to the zoo." "Hey, that's a good idea," says the man in the car and drives away.

The next day the man with the car is back at the same filling station. The clerk sees the penguins are still in the back seat of the car. "Hey, they're still here! I thought you were going to take them to the zoo."

"Oh, I did," says the driver, "And we had a swell time. Today I am taking them to the beach."
