REMEMBRANCE OF ALLAH AND SUPPLICATIONS

All praise be to Allah Ta'aala whose compassion is all inclusive and whose mercy is general, who has requited His servants for their remembrances by His remembrance (of them).

Allah Ta'aala has stated: "Remember me and I shall remember you" and He has encouraged them in asking and supplicating by His command.

Allah Ta'aala has stated: "Ask of me and I will answer you" and has thus made the obedient and disobedient, the kind and wicked aspire for the fulfillment of necessities and desires (from Him) by His statement: "Indeed I am close by and I will answer the supplication of the caller when he calls me".

We testify that there is no diety except Allah who is alone and has no partner and we testify that our leader and master Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam is His slave and the leader of all the Prophets Alaihimus Salaam. May Allah Ta'aala send His manifestation ans salutations upon Him, His kinfolk and companions whe were the choicest of His chosen ones. May He confer upon them an abundance of peace.

Indeed the remembrance of Allah Ta'aala and the fulfillment of necessities from Him is the most meritorious of worship that can be discharged by the tongue after the recitation of the Quraan.

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "Never does a group of people sit in the remembrance of Allah Ta'aala except that the angels surround their gathering, mercy encompasses them while tranquility descends upon them and Allah Ta'aala makes mention of them to those that are around Him." (Muslim)

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "The similitude between that person who remembers his sustainer and that person who does not, is that between the living and the dead." (Bukhari, Muslim)

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "There is nothing more noble in the sight of Allah Ta'aala than supplication." (Tirmizi)

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "Invocation is the essence of worship." (Tirmizi, Ibn Majah)

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has mentioned: "Indeed supplication confers benefit to that which Allah Ta'aala has bestowed and to that which He has not yet bestowed. Therefore, servants of Allah hold firmly to supplication." (Tirmizi)

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has mentioned: "He who does not ask from Allah, He will become angry with him."

I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Shaytaan

"Oh you who believe remember Allah in abundance and extol His praise by morning and evening."

(Khutbaatul Ahkaam, Pg 20,21)

FOR CURING FEVER

When in fever recite:

"Bismillahil kabeer, A'oothoo billahil adheem min sharri kulli 'irqin na'aarin wa min sharri harrin naar"

In th name of Allah, the great. I seek refuge in Allah the great from the mischief of every boiling and raging vein and from the mischief of the heat of the fire of Jahannam (Hell).

* One way to preserve the flavor of fresh herbs is to make herb butter. Let the butter soften, then add finely chopped herbs in any combination, about 2 to 4 tablespoons per stick of butter. The butter freezes well, and you can serve it spread on French bread
or with seafood or chicken.

* When using rice, keep in mind that 1 cup of uncooked long-grain white rice makes 3 cups cooked.
