THE FRIDAY SERMON

RIGHTS TOWARDS VARIOUS CLASSES OF PEOPLE

All praise is due to Allah, who has flooded His choicesy servants with special grace due to His might and benevolence. He has unified their hearts and with His blessings they formed one brotherhood. He has extracted malice from their hearts due to which they lived as friends and confidants in this world and in the hereafter they will be as mates and very close friends.

I bear witness that there is no diety except Allah and Nabi Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam is His servant and messenger. May Allah shower salutations upon Nabi Salallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam, His family and His companions who had followed Him in speech, actions of justice and benevolence.

Verily, guarding the rights of people, the ordinary and those specific amidst them is part of the best of virtues. By consideration of these rights, the bonds of brotherhood and friendship become purified from the stains of impurities.

Allah Ta'aala says: "Do not kill your children due to fear of poverty"

Allah Ta'aala also says: "Woman have rights (from men) like those that they have to fulfill towards them."

Allah Ta'aala has further said: "Be kind to your parents, to your close relatives, near neighbours, companions, travelers and to the slaves."

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "Every Muslim has six rights towards another Muslim, if he is sick he must visit him, when he dies he must attend his funeral, when he is invited he must accept his invitation (if the invitation is in accordance with the Shariah), he must reply to his greeting, reply to his sneeze and protect his interests in his absence." (Nasaai)

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "Allah Ta'aala does not have mercy on that person who does not have mercy on others." (Bukhari, Muslim)

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: "All the believers are like a single person, when his eye pains his whole body is effected, when his head pains his whole body is effected." (Muslim)

Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: Beware of suspicions for it is the most false form of speech, nor spy upon each other, nor deceive each other, nor be jealous amidst each other, nor have hatred and dislike from one another, rather be the servants of Allah, as in a brotherhood."

I seek protection in Allah from shaytaan, the accursed.

"Verily you, Muhammed Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam have the noblest of character."

~ Khutbaatul Ahkaam Pg 32,33 ~

DUA (PRAYER)

FOR DEBTS AND REMOVING GRIEF AND SORROW

For the fulfillment of debts and the removing of any difficulty pertaining to life recite the following Dua excessively in the morning and evening:

"Allahumma innim a'oothoo bika minal hammi wal huzni wa a'oothu bika minal ajzi wal kasli wa a'oothu bika minal jubni wal bukhli wa a'oothu bika min ghalbatid dayn wa qahrir rijaal"

O Allah I seek your protection from worry and grief, from timidity and indolence, from cowardice and selfishness, from overwhelming indebtedness and from the oppression of people.

THE SMILE

A woman accompanied her husband to the doctor's office.

After his checkup, the doctor called the wife into his office. He said, "Your husband is suffering from a very severe stress disorder. If you don't follow my instructions carefully, your husband will surely die.

"Each morning, fix him a healthy breakfast. Be pleasant at all times. For lunch make him a nutritious meal. For dinner prepare an especially nice meal for him.

"Don't burden him with chores. Don't discuss your problems with him; it will only make his stress worse. Do not nag him. Most importantly, Don't raise your voice with him.

"If you can do this for the next 10 months to a year, I think your husband will regain his health completely."

On the way home, the husband asked his wife, "What did the doctor say?"

"He said you're going to die," she replied.
