Fresh Fish.

The Japanese have always loved fresh fish. But the waters close to Japan have not held many fish for decades. So to feed the Japanese population, fishing boats got bigger and went further than ever. The further the fishermen went, the longer it took to bring in the fish. If the return trip took more than a few days, the fish were not fresh. The Japanese did not like the taste.

To solve this problem, fishing companies installed freezers on their boats. They would catch the fish and freeze them at sea. Freezers allowed the boats to go further and stay longer. However, the Japanese could taste the difference between fresh and frozen and they did not like frozen fish. The frozen fish brought a lower price. So fishing companies installed fish tanks. They would catch the fish and stuff them in the tanks, fin to fin.

After a little thrashing around, the fish stopped moving. They were tired and dull, but alive. Unfortunately, the Japanese could still taste the difference. Because the fish did not move for days, they lost their fresh-fish taste. The Japanese preferred the lively taste of fresh fish, not sluggish fish.

So how did Japanese fishing companies solve this problem? How do they get fresh-tasting fish to Japan? If you were consulting the fish industry, what would you recommend?

How Japanese Fish Stay Fresh:

To keep the fish tasting fresh, the Japanese fishing companies still put the fish in the tanks. But now they add a small shark to each tank. The shark eats a few fish, but most of the fish arrive in a very lively state. The fish are put through a challenge and are kept "on their toes" in order to stay fresh and lively.

Have you realized that some of us are also living in a pond but most of the time tired & dull, so we need a Shark in our life to keep us awake and moving? Basically in our lives Sharks are new challenges to keep us active and lively. These sharks can come in all different forms but all for the same reason....to keep us alive and active. At times we might complain of huge sharks or too many sharks but only the sender of the sharks knows the benifit of sending.

Allah Ta'aala says: "...and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know." (Surah Baqarah: 216)

Allah Ta'aala says: "Verily your Rabb increases and decreases the provisions of whoever He wills. Indeed He is informed and watching over His slaves." (Surah Israa: 30)

SUNNAH

SITTING/SQUATTING IN THE TOILET

Urinating in a standing position is against the Sunnah of Nabi Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam. It is mentioned in a Hadeeth that one of the main reasons for punishment in the grave is due to being careless regarding urine drops touching the body. There is a great chance of this happening if one stands and urinates. If not the body then most probably the clothes will become Napaak.

The only possible way of relieving oneself of stool is in the sitting position however in todays time we have excess to the 'western toilet' (High pan) and the 'eastern toilet' (Low pan). Usage of the low pan is the ideal way and the Sunnah method. Like every other Sunnah, this Sunnah also has health benefits:

Squatting instead of sitting on the toilet is a more natural position, and requires less straining. Modern toilets are bad for us, suggests research.

A study published by Israeli scientists in the journal Digestive Diseases and Sciences revealed that squatting instead of sitting is a more natural position, and requires less straining. This in turn reduces the risk of bowel problems such as haemorrhoids and diverticular disease. Both cause painful swellings in the gut.

Dr Charles Murray, consultant gastroenterologist at the Royal Free Hospital in London, says that for the majority of us, opening our bowels is one of those things we don't often think about, but it is actually a complicated physiological process'.

He advises patients who are having trouble with bowel movements to place something under their feet while seated on the toilet, as this helps to simulate the squatting position.

He explains: 'Placing a six-inch footrest under your feet and leaning forward on a regular sitting toilet may help, and this effect could be achieved to a lesser extent with toilet rolls placed under the feet. Raising the feet in this way on a regular basis may well result in shorter visits to the loo and less straining.'

THE SMILE

If Columbus had been married, he might never have discovered America, because he would have had to answer all the following questions and listen to such dramatic statements:

Where are you going?
With whom?
Why?
How are you going?
To discover what?
Why only you?
What do I do when you are not here?
Can I come with you?
When will you be back?
Will you be home for dinner?
What will you bring for me?
You deliberately made this plan without me, didn't you?
You seem to be making a lot of these programs lately...
Answer me why?
I want to go to my mother's house.
I want you to drop me there.
I don't want to come back ever!
What do you mean, OK?
Why aren't you stopping me?
I don't understand what this whole 'discovery' thing is about.
You always do things like this.
Last time also you did the same thing!
Nowadays you always seem to do this kind of stuff.
I still don't understand what else is left to be discovered!
