MTN RADIO AWARDS - My Station Award

As part of the MTN Radio Awards competition, the “My Station Award” competition has begun in which listeners can vote for their favourite radio station. Last year Radio Islam Listeners blew all competitors out of the water with their brilliant contribution, winning the Award for Radio Islam, and we are confident you will do it again. There are two Awards that will be taking place in this section:

• No. of SMS’s received as a percentage of the station’s latest RAMS Audience figures

• Total number of SMS’s received

Radio Islam has been allocated a short code (RIS) which needs to be sent by SMS to the following number: 40616. Stations are able to promote it over the period Monday March 26 to Sunday April 8. Voting will cease at midnight on Sunday April 8 and we will know who the winners are during the course of the following week.

Abdullah bin Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) slept on a straw mat and got up with the marks left by it on his body. Commentary: Beside mentioning the piety of the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him), this Hadith tells in a very eloquent manner the reality of this world by means of an example.

Method
Combine all the spices and toss with meat. Heat oil in a large saucepan add onions and braise until golden. Add meat and spices and cook covered on medium heat until tender. Add tomato and cook a further 15 minutes adding a pinch of sugar if desired. Serve hot on a bed of savory rice.
