THE STORY
NEVER FEAR......ALLAH IS NEAR

A father takes his son into the forest, blindfolds him & leaves him alone. He is required to sit on a tree stump the whole night and not remove the blindfold until the rays of the morning sun shine through it. He cannot cry out for help to anyone.

Once he survives the night, he is a MAN. He cannot tell the other boys of this experience, because each lad must come into manhood on his own. The boy is naturally terrified. He can hear all kinds of noises. Wild beasts must surely be all around him. Maybe even some human might do him harm.

The wind blew the grass and earth, and shook his stump, but he sat bravely, never removing the blindfold. This would be the only way he could become a man!

Finally, after a horrific night the sun appeared and he removed his blindfold. It was then that he discovered his father sitting on the stump next to him. He had been at watch the entire night, protecting his son from harm.

We, too, are never alone. Even when we don't know it, Allah is watching over us, Sitting on the stump beside us. When trouble comes, all we have to do is reach out to Him.

Moral of the story:
Just because you can't see Allah, Doesn't mean He is not there."For we walk by faith, not by sight!!!

SUNNAH
Anas bin Maalik Radiyallahu 'Anhu reports: "No one was more beloved to the Sahaabah than Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam. When they saw him they did not stand up, knowing that he did not approve of it". [TIRMIZI]

Commentary: This was also the result of the complete humbleness of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam. Despite his high status and being the leader of both worlds, Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam did not approve this. For this reason the Sahaabah, although possessing a great love for him, and knowing that he disapproved of it, did not stand up for him as is the requirement from this Hadith. Rarely, due to their intense love, they stood up.

A Hadith has been mentioned in the Abu Daawud that Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alayhi Wasallam was sitting with us in the Masjid and talking. When he stood up, we all stood up till he went into the house. In this manner many Ahaadith are narrated on this subject in the books of Hadith, to the extent that in some Ahaadith it has been strongly prohibited to stand up, and in some Ahaadith it has been commanded to stand up for a few visitors.

The Ulama differ in the permissibility of standing or not standing. The majority of the researchers say there is no contradiction, as there are many reasons for standing up, therefore different commands are mentioned in the Ahaadith.

THE SMILE

A lion woke up one morning feeling rowdy. He went out and cornered a small monkey and roared, “Who is mightiest of all jungle animals?”

The trembling monkey said, ”You are, mighty lion!”

Later, the lion confronted a deer and bellowed, “Who is mightiest of all jungle animals?”

The terrified deer stammered, ”Oh great lion, you are by far the mightiest animal in the jungle!”

On a roll, the lion swaggered up to an elephant and roared, “Who is mightiest of all jungle animals?”

The elephant snatched up the lion with his trunk, slammed him against a tree, stomped on him and then ambled away.

The battered lion hollered after the elephant, “Sheesh, just because you don’t know the answer, you don’t have to get so upset.”
