Praise be to Allah Who is sacred in His essence, attributes, and beauty and Who is great, elevated, and majestic; He is the Almighty in His glory, sublimity, and perfection. I thank Him (?); He created all creatures with no imperfection or deficiency.
(The Sheikh quotes the following two lines of poetry):
Praise
be to You (Allah), a good and ever increasing praise;
Praise be to You, O our Lord, we count on You;
Praise be to You, the best praise and thanks.
The best and purest praise ever, are due to You!
And I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah alone with no partners, a witness to which hearts submit in obedience; and I bear witness that our Prophet and Master Muhammad is Allah's servant and Messenger, the best who has glorified Allah in his words and deeds. O Allah! Send Your Salat (Graces, Honors, and Mercy) and Peace on him and on his family who are ever generous, and on his Companions who were great heroes in defending Islam, and on the tab'în (the contemporaries of the Companions of the Prophet ? after his death) and those who righteously followed them as long as the day and night rotate.
Fear Allah, O servants of Allah! And know that the fear of Allah is the light of the hearts, the path to gain His love, and the proof of His reverence, ?O you who believe! Fear Allâh and keep your duty to Him. And let every person look to what he has sent forth for the morrow, and fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is All-Aware of what you do? [Al-Hashr: 18] read more

2 CUP SELF RISING FLOUR; 500G CAKE FRUIT MIX; 2 DESSERT SPOONS OIL
Method:
CREAM BUTTER, SUGAR AND VANILLA ESSENCE. ADD EGGS ONE AT TIME, BEATING
WELL AFTER EACH EDITION. SIFT FLOURS AND ADD TO CREAMED MIXTURE AND POUR
OIL ONTO FRUIT MIXTURE. MIX WELL. POUR MIXTURE INTO GREASED LINED LOAF
PAN. BAKE AT 150c FOR 1 1/2 HOURS OR UNTIL SKEWER COMES OUT CLEAN.
The aspect of friendship, as brother Edris Khamissa explained, is fundamental to our lives. Nothing can be more painful than to have a lonely existence. Nothing can be more painful than not knowing who to talk to about our situation or dilemmas.
Brother Edris also advised that parents should expose their kids to other kids to hone their social skills. This will give them a better sense of teamwork, compromise and sacrifice. Important skills would also be learnt as they grow up that would assist in developing long-lasting friendships.
Friendship is something you cherish and
relish. Friendship is something you invest in.
During the programme, brother Edris encouraged introspection by posing
important questions: ‘Are you a person who is a worthy friend?’
and ‘Do you have the attributes for someone to say, ‘I like
to befriend him/her because I’ll be enriched by him/her.’

Scenario 1: Johnny and Mark get into a fight after school.
1957 – Crowd gathers. Mark wins. Johnny and Mark shake hands and end up best friends.
2012
– Police called, arrests Johnny and Mark.. Charge them with assault,
both expelled even though Johnny started it. Both children go to anger
management programmes for 3 months. School governors hold meeting to implement
bullying prevention programmes.
Scenario 2: Johnny takes apart leftover fireworks from the previous
night, puts them in a paint tin & blows up a wasp’s nest.
1957 – Wasps die.
2012 - Police & Anti-Terrorism Squad called. Johnny charged with domestic terrorism; investigate parents, siblings removed from home, computers confiscated. Johnny’s Dad goes on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.
