Surah At-Taghabun (Loss and Gain)

This Surah is Madani, and it has 18 verses and 2 sections

In the Name of Allah, The Beneficent, The Most Merciful

(So, observe Taqwa [total obedience to Allah in awe of Him as far as you can... 64:16)

COMMENTARY: When the verse (...Observe Taqwa as is His due...3:102) was revealed, the blessed Companions felt it very difficult, because it was impossible for anyone to observe Taqwa of Allah 'as is due to Him'. On that occasion, the present verse was revealed which clarified that no imposition is made on man more than he can bear.

Taqwa too must be observed as far as it is possible for man to observe. If a person tries to obey Allah totally in awe of Him, which will be sufficient in fulfilling Allah's due. [RUH]

Her right foot graciously extends from the step to the pavement
As the gates of the mosque remain behind her
And the gust of wind plays with her Hijab
Her identity; one unmasked
Her modesty; gently ensured

She smiles as she serenely imagines
The wind violently surging through her horse's white mane
As she steadily carries the flag of Islam into the battle field
How obvious a Jihad is her imagination
Yet she is currently doing the same
With every glance in her direction
Allah Ta'ala's message reflected
Oh how the light shines!

They judge her without seeing
The intellect within
Neglecting the message which runs through her veins
