A burglar entered the house of Malik b. Dinaar, he was disappointed to find that there was nothing for him to steal. He came across Malik who finished his prayer and calmly said to the burglar, "you came for worldly goods, which you did not find, can I offer you some provisions for the Hereafter. The burglar sat down and began to listen. He was so impacted with words of the Imam that he went with him for the Fajr prayer. The people at the Masjid were shocked, the Imam of his time with a renowned criminal. They asked the Imam, "how is this possible?" He replied, "He came to steal from us but we stole his heart."

Commentary: The reason being that if there was more time he lay flat and slept. His noble habit was to sleep on the right side. But if time was short, he lifted his arm and slept on it for a little while. In such circumstances he did not lie flat and sleep, as this might result in a deep slumber, and the time for the salaah would pass.

Ingredients:

Pizza Dough:

4 cups cake flour
½ tsp salt
2 tsp sugar
1 packet instant dry yeast
125g butter
1 egg
1 cup milk, 1 cup water

Method:
Heat butter, water and milk . Sift flour and add salt, sugar and yeast. Add egg to the butter and milk mixture. Make soft dough with this mixture. You may add more water if necessary. Leave dough to rise until double its volume. Roll dough into a large rectangle. Spread chutney or sauces of choice and filling of choice – chicken or steak can be used. Roll up like a Swiss roll and cut into slices approximately 2cm thick. Stand up slices on a greased baking tray closely together.Leave to rise. When slices have risen to twice its size sprinkle cheese, garnish with origanum and bake @180c
