Surah As-Saff (The Row) 61
This Surah was revealed in Madinah, and it has 14 verses and 2 sections

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most Merciful

(O those who believe, why do you say what you do not do? It is severely hateful in Allah's sight that you say what you do not do...61:2-3)

COMMENTARY: Apparently, the phrase 'what you do not do' implies that one should not claim to do something he does not intend to do. From this it may be deduced that it is prohibited to make a commitment to do a work while a person does not have the genuine intention to really do it, because this would be ostentation and a false commitment. Obviously, the blessed Companions, in the story of the background of revelation, were not making such promises without having intention to fulfill them. Instead, their intention was genuine. From this we learn that the verse includes a situation where a person commits to do something with true intention to do it, but relies solely on his own strength, it is not in keeping with his station of 'abdiyyah or 'servitude'. First of all, there is no need to make such a claim. If the occasion does arise to do something, he may go ahead and do it. If, for some reason or the other, a person has to make a promise or claim, he may affirm it by saying 'If Allah wills'. In this way, it would not be a boastful claim.

1 kg chicken mince
1 big onion (grated)
4 potatoes boiled and mashed
1 tsp salt or to taste
1 tsp pepper
2 tblsp green masala
2 eggs
1 tblsp dhana jeeru
Freshly chopped parsley & dhana
Mix well together.

2 boxes Kiri cheese
2 punnets mushrooms (finely cubed)

Steam mushrooms with salt and pepper and butter, when cool mix with kiri cheese. Make small balls with the Kiri cheese and mushrooms. Thereafter take kebab mixture and pat around the Kiri cheese and mushroom balls, to form a ball around the kiri cheese. So basically the kiri cheese will be in the centre of the kebab. Dip in egg and breadcrumbs and fry.

CONSTRUCTION SITE MURDER

A workman was killed at a construction site. The police began questioning a number of the other workers. Based on past brushes with the law, many of these workers were considered prime suspects. They were a motley crew:

The electrician was suspected of wiretapping once, but was never charged.

The carpenter thought he was a stud. He tried to frame another man one time.

The glazier went to great panes to conceal his past. He still claimed that he didn't do anything, but he was framed.

The painter had a brush with the law several years ago.

The heating, ventilation, and air conditioning contractor was known to pack heat. He was arrested once, but duct the charges.

The mason was suspect because he got stoned regularly.

The cabinet maker was an accomplished counter fitter.

The autopsy led the police to arrest the carpenter, who subsequently confessed. The evidence against him was irrefutable, because it was found that the workman, when he died, was hammered.
