Aishah Radhiyaallahu Ta'ala anha reported that the Messenger of Allah Sallallahu alaihi wasallam Used to perform I'tikaf during the last ten days of Ramadan until Allah the Mighty and Majestic, took away his life, then his wives followed this practice after him. (Bukhari, Muslim)

COMMENTARY: I'tikaaf is to sit in seclusion for the last ten days of Ramadhaan. This is done in search of the Laylatul Qadr (a blessed night in virtue, the night of Power).

Ingredients
1 ½ cups jungle oats - 6 Weetbix - 2 ½ liters water - 2 tsp salt - 1 cup chicken fillet cubed - 3 tblsp ghee - 1 med onion grated - 1 tsp ginger garlic paste - 1 ½ tsp ground green chille - ½ tsp arad - 1 tsp salt - 1 cup water - 1 Tblsp ghee - ½ small onion sliced - 3 whole green chillies - 1 tsp jeeru - ¼ tsp garam masala - ¼ cup dhania leaves chopped.

Method
Fry onions in ghee until light gold add the ginger garlic & spices. Add the chicken and cook for a few mins. Add water and cook until chicken is tender. In a large saucepan soak the oats weetbix in water and salt. Bring to boil and cook on low heat for 20-30 minutes until thick. Remove from heat. When cool liquidize the oats mixture. Mix the cooked chicken to the liquidized oats mixture and bring to boil. Fry onion green chillie and jeeru in the ghee until light pink and add to the haleem. Sprinkle the garam masala garnish with dhania and serve.
