THE STRUGGLE BETWEEN TRUTH AND FALSEHOOD By Sheikh Osama ibn Abdullah Khayyat - 19 Rajab 1436 His Eminence Sheikh Osama ibn Abdullah Khayyat –May Allah protect him– delivered this Friday Khutbah entitled “The Struggle between Truth and Falsehood” in which he talked about this interminable and continuous struggle between Truth and Falsehood. In addition to clarifying its aspects and some of its manifestations with reference to the Holy Book and the Sunnah of the Prophet, may Allah’s Salat and Peace be upon him. The Sheikh also pointed out to some of the contemporary manifestations of this struggle. The battle which Allah Has decreed to resist abatement and withstand the test of time is the one between Truth and falsehood, guidance and misguidance, and faith and disbelief. Its flame never subdues and its flare can never be extinguished. In fact, it is bound to remain ablaze till the day Allah inherits the earth and its occupants. Ebrahim AS wanted religion to be wholeheartedly dedicated to Allah Who must be worshipped solely on earth. As a reaction, however, the advocates of deceit violently opposed this plea for Truth, using their lethal weapons to inflict detrimental harm on him. They even threw him alive into a blazing fire. Nevertheless, this campaign just failed to attain its planned scheme. Allah ?May He be exalted– has made that clear in a Qur’anic text to be recited by forthcoming generations, which will eternally commit to memory the idea that victory, in the final analysis, is always granted to Truth and that defeat is the end of falsehood. read more |

TO PAY OFF DEBTS Recite: ALLAHUMMA IKFINEE BIHALAALIKA AN HARAAMIK WA IGHNINEE BIFADLIKA AMMAN SIWAAK. "O Allah, save me from Haraam and make the Halaal sufficient and by your boon/favour make me independent from others". These words were spoken by Ali (RA) taught by Prophet Mohammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) when a person expressed a shortfall in his wealth to Ali (RA) he said: "Shall I not show you what Prophet Mohammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) taught me, even if there is a debt equal to that of a huge mountain then Allah will pay it". A woman is cooking eggs in the kitchen when her husband comes running in. Immediately, he sees the eggs and gasps in horror. "Be careful! CAREFUL! Put in some more butter! Oh, my GOSH!" The wife, startled at her husband's violent reaction, dashes to the fridge to get some butter. "You're cooking too many at once. TOO MANY! Turn them! TURN THEM NOW!" The wife, concerned by the status of her husband's mental state, forgets about the butter and goes running to the eggs. "WE NEED BUTTER! Are you CRAZY??? Where are we going to get the butter? They're going to stick! HURRY!" The wife runs to the fri- "CAREFUL about the eggs! CAREFUL. You NEVER listen to me when you're cooking! Never! Turn them quickly! Oh not that quickly, don't you know how to cook? Are you insane? Turn the EGGS!" At this point, the wife starts crying, since she has no idea what to do. She gasps, "What is WRONG with you? I know how to cook eggs." The husband simply smiles and replies, "I just wanted to show you what it feels like while I'm driving with you in the car."
