The favours of Allaah upon His slaves cannot be enumerated. Among these favours is that He has created sleep, and He has created the night so that we may rest in it. Allaah, the Bestower of Favours, says that which translates as: “And [We] made your sleep [a means for] rest, And made the night as clothing.” (An-Naba’: 9-10) And also: “[He is] the cleaver of daybreak and has made the night for rest and the sun and moon for calculation. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.” (Al-An’aam: 96) During the night, people are calm and their bodies and minds are relaxed, which results in the required rest. Allaah created this time for people to unwind, calm down and rest in, and this is from His mercy. Allaah says that which translates as: “And out of His mercy He made for you the night and day that you may rest therein and [by day] seek from His bounty and [that] perhaps you will be grateful.” (Al-Qasas: 73) read more

3 ½ cups flour
1 tblsp instant yeast
3 tblsp sugar
1 egg yolk
1 cup milk
1cup water
½ pound butter cut into 3 equal parts.

Mix together yeast, sugar and flour and 1 part butter and make into breadcrumbs Add beaten egg yolk. Warm water and milk, it must not be too hot just warm. Mix a little at a time to make soft dough. Knead well. Let rise to double its size. Roll out and grate 1 part butter and sprinkle maziena.Fold like pie dough and refrigerate. Roll again and grate last part of butter with maziena. Fold and refrigerate. Roll small parts of dough of in rounds and cut like pizza slices. Slit center opposite the point Add filling if desired or leave plain. Roll up tightly Let rise on tray for about 30 minutes Brush beaten egg Bake at 180 d until golden brown Brush apricot jam while still hot. Enjoy

THE ELDERLY COUPLE

While on a road trip, an elderly couple stopped at a roadside restaurant for lunch. After finishing their meal, they left the restaurant, and resumed their trip.When leaving, the elderly woman unknowingly left her glasses on the table,and she didn't miss them until they had been driving about forty minutes. By then, to add to the aggravation, they had to travel quite a distance before they could find a place to turn around, in order to return to the restaurant to retrieve her glasses.

All the way back, the elderly husband became the classic grouchy old man. He fussed and complained, and scolded his wife relentlessly during the entire return drive. The more he chided her, the more agitated he became.

He just wouldn't let up one minute. To her relief, they finally arrived at the restaurant. As the woman got out of the car, and hurried inside to retrieve her glasses, the old geezer yelled to her, 'While you're in there, you might as well get my hat and the credit card.'
