THE MESSAGE
The past is gone forever
----------------------------
By brooding over the past and its tragedies, one exhibits a form of insanity - a kind of sickness that destroys the willpower to live for the present moment. Those who have a fine purpose have filed away and forgotten occurrences of the past, which will never again see light, since they occupy such a dark place in the recesses of the mind.

Episodes of the past are finished with; sadness cannot retrieve them, depression cannot make things right, and depression will never bring the past back to life. This is because the past is non-existent. read more

DUA (PRAYER)
What to Say to Someone Wearing New Clothes
Um Khãlid bin Sa`eed said: I came to the Messenger, my father was with me and I was wearing a yellow shirt. So the Messenger of Allah said sanah sanah. She said: So I set off playing with the seal of Prophethood, thus my father prevented me. The Messenger of Allah said leave her then the Messenger of Allah said: 'Ablee was 'akhliqee, 'Ablee was 'akhliqee, 'Ablee was 'akhliqee. Abdullah said it thus remained until he noticed it, meaning due to its having remained.

AND… FOR THE KIDDIES
KEEPING TIES WITH FELLOW MUSLIM

Ebrahim and Ismail were the very best of friends. They lived on the same street. They played, did homework and even read Salaah together. They love spending time with each other.

One day, while playing together, Ebrahim accidentally threw Ismail’s ball too high and Ismail was not able to catch it. It rolled down the road and got lost. “Look what you’ve done!” Ismail shouted. “My ball is lost because of you!”

“It was an accident,” Ebrahim shouted back. “Besides its not my fault it’s yours! You didn’t catch ball in time and now you blaming me.”

They continued to shout and blame each other. The ball was eventually found and returned to Ismail. However, the damage was already done as Ebrahim and Ismail did not want to be friends anymore. They didn’t even want to talk to each other.

For two days they did not greet or talk to each other. They ignored one another totally. Their families hoped that they soon forgive each other and become friends once again.

On the third day, at Madressah, their teacher was explaining a Hadith of Nabi Muhammed Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, which said that a Muslim may not keep away from his fellow Muslim for more then three days. This meant that before three days had passed, they had to start talking to each other and greeting each other. If they continued ignoring each other, they would be sinful. Both Ebrahim and Ismail were worried as it was already the third day since their fight.

As soon as they could, they rushed over to each other and made salaam. Each of them asked each other for forgiveness. They both then asked Allah to forgive them.

It was great to be friends again. They had missed each other. They realized that they are brothers in Islam. They would always try to stay friends for the pleasure of Allah.

POEM
I learnt of a man who struggled so hard
When his mission was difficult from the start.
The story of someone who had morals,
Spoke gently, kindness as he knew.

Never fearing to say what is right,
His conviction in ISLAM was true.
The touch of his hand was as soft as silk
To comfort the crying child.

To mend his clothes, or do the chores,
Never complaining, he always smiled.
A living he made with his bare hands,
The same that held his mighty sword.
Every heart and soul he adored.

His smell was always of musk,
And cleanliness he kept at his best.
He held the hands of his companions.
Unashamed to play with small children.

So modest, so humble, a perfect example,
That even a stranger could recognize him.

His eyes slept very little,
For nights were precious,
His prayers he treasured much greater.
To wake and pray in the depths of night,
Seeking forgiveness, and being nearness his Creator.

His enemies admired his teachings,
Uniting every religion, every clan.
Till ISLAM came to every corner of the world,
Yet, indeed, he was only one man.

Muhammad Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam is a mercy to all of humankind, And to me, he is MY BELOVED!"

A THOUGHT
THANK Allah for what you have, TRUST Allah for what you need.

THE SMILE
A couple just started their Lamaze class and they were given an activity requiring the husband to wear a bag of sand - to give him an idea of what it feels like to be pregnant. The husband stood up and shrugged saying, "This doesn't feel so bad."
The instructor then dropped a pen and asked the husband to pick it up.
"You want me to pick up the pen as if I were pregnant, the way my wife would do it?" the husband asked.
"Exactly," replied the instructor.
To the delight of the other husbands, he turned to his wife and said, "Honey, pick up that pen for me."
