Abu
Ayyub Khalid bin Zaid Al-Ansari (May Allah be pleased with
him) reported: A man came to Messenger of Allah Sallallaahu
Alyhi Wa Sallam and said, "Direct me to a deed which
will admit me to Jannah and take me away from the Fire".
The Messenger of Allah Sallallaahu Alyhi Wa Sallam said, "Worship
Allah and associate no partner with Him, perform As-Salah,
pay Zakah, and maintain the ties of kinship". [Al-Bukhari
and Muslim]
Commentary:
This Hadith indicates the actions which constitute the means
to attain Jannah and salvation from Hell. Thus, it makes evident
that Jannah cannot be achieved by wishful thinking. One cannot
get it without Faith and good deeds. In the absence of these
two factors, intercession of any person will be of no avail. |

Gordon
Brown, the British prime minister, has urged Israel to stop
building settlements on Palestinian land, saying it was a
dangerous barrier to achieving peace in the Middle East.
The
Indian government may collapse as the country's politicians
gather to debate a vote of confidence over a civilian nuclear
deal with the US.
Zimbabwe's
ruling party, the Zanu-PF, and two factions of the opposition
Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) will sign a deal to enter
into formal talks to solve the country's political crisis,
a senior government official has said.
Police
arrested two Malawians in Port St Johns for possession of
commercial explosives and counterfeit cash notes with a face
value of R28 000. Police say the men were arrested during

EXOTIC
RICE DISH
Ingredients
½ Kilo chicken fillet - 1 tblsp Zeal - Salt to taste - 1 –
1 1/2 tsp white pepper - 1 tblsp garlic . Cook all the above
until chicken is soft & easy to shred.
½
cabbage finely shredded - 1 bunch spring onions - 1 bunch
green dhunia - 1 handful ground green chillies - 2 cups mixed
Veg - 1 tblsp zeal – salt to taste - 2 cups cooked rice.
Method
Melt approximately ½ cup ghee in a pot and add a tablsp garlic
add shredded cabbage, spring onion, dhunia, ground green chillies,
mixed veg and zeal. Cook together until water burns out. Mix
shredded meat, rice, & vegetables and add ½ cup water
and allow to steam. |
