STANDING FIRM IN OBEYING ALLAH

All praise is due to Allâh, Lord of all the worlds. May peace and blessings of Allâh be on the Prophet, his household and the companions.“O you who believe! Fear Allâh as He should be feared and die not except in the state of Islâm.” Fellow Muslims! Allâh has endowed us with a complete and perfect law. Whoever seek protection under it will be protected from all evils. It is a law whose system is well-organised and balanced and which is free from all imperfections. It is founded upon justice, wisdom, welfare and mercy. There is no weakness nor crookedness is it. It never commands nor forbids anything that will be in contradiction with the reason. It commandments are nourishment and remedy and its forbiddances shields and protection. Whoever seeks for guidance without its light will never find guidance. Brethren is Islâm! Mankind, without Islâm is an unfortunately living a miserly, wasted disgraceful and unhappy life. “And whomsoever Allâh disgraces, none can honour him.”

The life that honours a Muslim is a life under the shade of Islâmic law and there will be no honour or glory for man except by holding fast unto it, working by its teachings and respecting its limits. Fellow Muslims! The Islâmic law has a many fierce enemies who spare no efforts to fight, uproot, destroy its values and cast doubt on it. They do so by promoting innovations (bid‘ah), causing unrest in the rank of the Muslims, employing trickery, lying and deception of all forms to achieve their mischievous goals. This devilish machination is championed by the hypocrites who show the opposite of what is in their hearts and cause disorder on the earth. This set of people could not reject the Islâmic law openly, hence they take a crooked way of painting the truth of Islâm in bad colour and whitewashing the falsehood. Sometimes, they approach the gullible individuals with fake issues whose outward is beautiful but carries within them trickery and deception. These gullible individuals will then judge by the outward appearance of those issues and decide that they are lawful, but those with real knowledge will examine these issues inwardly and outwardly and expose the evil intent of their proponents. read more

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of wanting to carry out attacks after German forces stormed a passenger jet at Cologne-Bonn airport. Commandos boarded the Amsterdam-bound aeroplane, owned by Dutch carrier KLM, just before 7am. A 23-year-old Somali and a 24-year-old German citizen of Somali origin were arrested.

After new SA President Kgalema Montlante was sworn in yesterday, the cabinet was also reshuffled. Motlanthe has meanwhile moved to assure the country that it's back to business after a week of high political drama. His speech yesterday promised continuity and there are no economic policy shifts. The same applies to international and regional commitments.

Ekurhuleni metro police Chief Robert McBride has been dismissed with immediate effect. However, the council will still foot the legal bill in his drunken driving trial. Newspapers estimated his legal fees to be between R7 million and R11 million.

RECIPE
CHOCOLATE PUDDING
Ingredients - Pudding

50g Butter - 200ml Caastor Sugar - 1 egg - 1 cup cake flour - 25ml cocoa powder - 1 tblsp
Baking powder - 200ml milk.

Ingredients – Sauce
1 cup water - 1 cup brown sugar - 25ml cocoa powder - 1 tsp vanilla essence

Method
Pre heat oven to 180c. Cream butter and sugar well. Add eggs and mix. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture alternatively with milk. Spoon into deep ovenproof dish. Prepare sauce by placing all the ingredients into a pot and bring to the boil. Remove from the heat and pour over the batter. Place in oven for 30 minutes until set on top. A sauce will form at the bottom. Serve hot. With fresh cream (optional)

 
COOKING TIP
Fresh Lemon Juice: When a recipe calls for lemon juice, 1 medium lemon is the cooking equivalent of about 2-3 tablespoons of juice.

A THOUGHT

THE IMPORTANCE OF A GUIDE

There are matters in which one has been guided in one aspect but not in others, so he is in need of perfect and complete guidance with respect to them. Or matters for which he has been guided to their foundations but not - to their particular details, so he is need of
a specific guidance (to those particular details).

There are matters to which he has been guided but he is in need of further guidance with respect to them since guidance to the path is one thing, but guidance upon the path is something else.

Do we not see that a man knows the path to a certain city, that the path is such and such. However, he is not capable of traversing this path because traversing it requires specific guidance in the journey itself, such as travelling at a certain time as opposed to another, taking a certain amount of water in such and such a desert, resting at this place as opposed to that one. All of this is guidance upon the journey. The one who (merely) knows that this is the path neglects all of this, perishes and is cut off from the desired goal.
