Anas Bin Maalik (Radiyallahu Anhu) is reported to have said that Nabi (Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) has said: "Whoever slaughters before the Eid Salaah he has indeed slaughtered for himself (The act will have no link to Eid and it will be a Nafl act) and whoever slaughters after the Eid Salaah he has completed the sacrifice and carried out the act of the Muslims." (Bukhari vol 2 pg 832)

COMMENTARY: One of the ingredients that makes Islam a perfect, complete and beautiful Deen is the fact that the major actions has a fixed time, method and in some cases a fixed place. The above mentioned Hadeeth indicates towards a fixed time for the act of slaughtering.

It is understood from this Hadeeth that one cannot slaughter before the Eid Salaah. However, if a person performs his Eid Salaah in a Masjid then he is permitted to start slaughtering even though the major congregation has not yet completed their Eid Salaah.

Anger will produce the same sound
Dislike will put forth the same frown

On the bridge of Siraat we will walk the same mile

The zebra has been created a beautiful creature
For its clothed with a very unique feature
Black and White work hand in hand
To teach a lesson to the foolish man

The light of day and the darkness of night
Never started with each other a fight
Never mocked each other or pulled out a knife
For they understood their object in life

Even the bounty of sight
Teaches us not to fight
For the organ used to find light
Amazingly is made up of black and white

So whilst the rest of the world can fight, argue and mourn
In a place where love, happiness and peace is all but gone
In a place where the orphaned child cries innocently all alone
We as Muslims will regard every soul as our very own

We will be a place of warmth for those out in the cold
A means of inspiration for those whose honour was sold
A shoulder to cry on for an orphaned brother
An encouragement to keep living for a heartbroken mother

We will stand side by side for each others well being
And show the world what is meant by hearts being clean
Portray to them the teachings of our honourable master
So that they can be saved from a future disaster

So the next time we see someone of a different race
We shouldn't be quick to judge by looking at the face
But rather be at his side ready to aid
For never was there a beautiful picture with only one shade.

Ingredients:
30ml oil
2 onions - sliced
2 tomatoes - chopped
2 tsp crushed ginger
2 tsp crushed garlic
2 ml arad
2 tsp steak masala
1 kg rump steak - cut into 10cm pieces
1 tsp salt

Method:
- Heat oil and braise onions until brown.
- Add tomatoes, ginger, garlic, arad and masala and cook for about 15 minutes.
- Add steak and salt and cook over medium heat until steak is tender - about 30 minutes.
- Serve with chips and salad.

The first day they go fishing, but they don't catch anything. The same thing happens on the second day, and on the third day. It goes on like this until finally, on the last day of their vacation, one of the men catches a fish.

As they're driving home they're really depressed. One guy turns to the other and says, "Do you realize that this one lousy fish we caught cost us fifteen hundred dollars?"
