THE SACRIFICE ON EIDUL-ADHAA
Allah is the greatest (of all). Allah is the greatest (of all). There is none worthy of worship besides Allah. Allah is the greatest (of all) and all praise is due to Allah.
Nabi Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has said: “The son of Adam (Alaihis Salaam) does not do any action on the day of Nahr (Day of Eidul Adhaa) which is more beloved in the sight of Allah than through animal slaughter causing the flow of blood. Verily he will come on the day resurrection with the (reward of even) the animal’s horns, its hair and its hooves. The blood reaches an accepted position with Allah before it touches the earth. Therefore bless a person’s soul by sacrifice.”

The Sahaaba Radiyallahu Anhum asked Nabi Sallallahu alaihi Wa Sallam: “O Messenger of Allah, what are these sacrifices?” He said: “It is the Sunnah of your father Ebrahim Alaihis Salaam.” The companions enquired: “What reward is there for us by this sacrifice, O Prophet of Allah?” He replied: “Every hair is equivalent to a reward.” The companions enquired: “What about the wool, O Messenger of Allah?” He answered: “Every fibre of wool would be equivalent to a reward.” (Ahmed, Ibn Majah)

Ibn Umar Radiyallahu Anhu has said: “Sacrifice can be made for two further days after the day of sacrifice.” (Maalik) Ali Radiyallahu Anhu has also reported the same.
I seek protection with Allah from Shaytaan, the accursed.
Allah Ta’aala says: “Neither the flesh nor its blood reaches Allah. Yes, it is the Taqwa (Piety) from your side which reaches Him (Allah). Likewise, we have subjugated them to you so that you may express the greatness of Allah for that upon which He has guided you and give glad tidings to those who do good.”
(Khutbaatul Ahkaam, Pg 110, 111)
DUA BEFORE SLAUGHTERING
“Inni wajjahtu wajhiya lillathi fataras samaa waati wal ardi haneefaw wa maa ana minal Mushrikeen. Inna salaati wa nusuki wa mahyaayi wa mamaati lillalhi Rabbil Aalameen. Allahumma minka wa laka.”
I have set my face, firmly and truly towards Him who has created the heaven and earth. Never shall I give partners to Allah. Verily my worship and my sacrifice, my living and my dying are for Allah, Rabb of the worlds. Oh Allah this sacrifice is from you and for you.
DUA AFTER SLAUGHTERING
“Allahumma taqbbalhu minni kamaa taqabbaltahu min Habibika Muhammadin wa Khalilika Ibrahim Alaihis Mus Salaam.”
O Allah, accept this Qurbaani from me just as You have accepted it from your Beloved Muhammed and your friend Ibrahim (Peace be upon them)

FRUIT JUICE

Ingredients
1 Large Pineapple cleaned and cut into cubes - 1 x 410g Peach can Fruit
- Pulp of 10/12 granadillas - Liquidize separately.
Method
Liquidize pineapple can fruit and syrup together with water and strain.
Liquidize granadilla pulp with water and sugar to taste. – Strain
and add to pineapple & peach. Serve with crushed Ice and Mint leaves.
* To peel garlic easily and quickly, prep it either by roasting it a little on a griddle or microwaving it for 1 minute on the 'High' setting. The skin will peel off without any trouble. Another solution is to soak the cloves in a bowl of water for 2 minutes and then peel.
* Most beans and lentils, if not cooked in a pressure cooker, can take a long time to cook. Some are so 'hard' they need to be pre-soaked before cooking them. Avoid adding salt, turmeric or tomato to these lentils or beans when cooking them. Doing this will reduce their cooking time by half!
A new manager spends a week at his new office with the manager he is replacing. On the last day the departing manager tells him, "I have left three numbered envelopes in the desk drawer. Open an envelope if you encounter a crisis you can't solve."
Three months down the track there is major drama, everything goes wrong - the usual stuff - and the manager feels very threatened by it all. He remembers the parting words of his predecessor and opens the first envelope. The message inside says "Blame your predecessor!" He does this and gets off the hook.
About half a year later, the company is experiencing a dip in sales, combined with serious product problems. The manager quickly opens the second envelope. The message read, "Reorganize!" This he does, and the company quickly rebounds.
Three months later, at his next crisis, he opens the third envelope. The message inside says...
"Prepare three envelopes".
