HADITH/SAYINGS OF MUHAMMAD
(SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WA SALLAM)

Nabi Sallallahu alayhi wa Sallam's guidance with regard to food is perfect guidance. It was described by Ibn Al-Qayyim as follows:

When Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam put his hand in the food, he would say, “Bismillaah" and he instructed others to say this when eating.

Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam said, “When any one of you eats, let him mention the name of Allah. If he forgets to mention the name of Allah at the beginning, let him say "Bismillaahi fi awwalihi wa aakhirihi.” (Saheeh hadeeth, narrated by At-Tirmidhi 1859 and Abu Dawood 3767)

The correct view is that it is obligatory to mention the name of Allaah when eating. The Ahaadeeth which state this are authentic and are clear with no contradictions in them.

When Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam raised the food to his mouth, he would say, “Alhamdu Lillaahi hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubaarakan fihi ghayri makfiyyin wa laa muwadda’ wa laa mustaghni ‘anhu Rabbanaa ‘azza wa jall.” (Bukhaari 5142)

He never criticized food at all. If he liked it, he would eat it & if he did not like it, he would leave it and not say anything. Narrated by Al-Bukhaari (3370) & Muslim (2064).

Or he would say, “I do not feel like eating this.” Narrated by Al-Bukhaari (5076) & Muslim (1946).

Sometimes he would praise the food, as when he asked his family for food and they said, “We have nothing but vinegar.” He asked for it and ate it, saying, “What a good food is vinegar.” Narrated by Muslim (2052)

He used to talk whilst he was eating, as is seen from the report quoted above about vinegar.

He said to a youngster ‘Umar ibn Abi Salamah when he was eating with him: “Say Bismillaah & eat from that which is in front of you in the dish.” Narrated by Al-Bukhaari (5061) & Muslim (2022).

He would repeatedly urge his guests to eat, as generous hosts do and as is seen in the Hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah Radiyallahu anhu, narrated by Al-Bukhaari about the story of drinking milk where he repeatedly said to him, “Drink!” and he kept telling him to drink until he (the guest) said, “By the One Who sent you with the truth, I have no more room for it!” Narrated by Al-Bukhaari (6087).

When Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam ate with others, he would not leave until he had made Duaa for them. He made Duaa in the house of ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Bisr Radiyallahu anhu and said: “O Allaah, bless for them that which You have provided for them, forgive them & have mercy on them.” Narrated by Muslim (2042).

Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam commanded people to eat with their right hands & forbade them to eat with their left hands. He said, “Shaytaan eats with his left hand & drinks with his left hand.” Narrated by Muslim (2020).

It was also reported in an authentic Hadeeth that he told a man who was eating with his left hand in his presence, “Eat with your right hand!” The man said, “I cannot.” He said, “May you never be able to!” – the man never lifted his right hand to his mouth after that. Narrated by Muslim (2021). If it was permissible (to eat with the left hand), he would not have prayed against him for doing so. It was the man’s stubborn arrogance that made him refuse to obey the command and this is the utmost disobedience which deserved this prayer against him.

Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam commanded those who complained that they never felt full to eat together and not separately, and to mention the name of Allah over the food so that He might bless it for them. Narrated by Abu Dawood (3764) & Ibn Maajah (3286).

It was also reported that he said, “I do not eat reclining.” Narrated by Al-Bukhaari, 5083.

Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam used to eat using the first three fingers (of his right hand), which is the best way of eating.

Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam's guidance regarding diet:

Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wa Sallam used to know what he was eating. He used to eat what was good for him. He used to eat enough to keep him going, but no so much as to make him fat.

He taught his Ummah something to protect them from diseases caused by eating & drinking. He said: “The son of Adam does not fill any vessel worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat a few mouthfuls, to keep him going. If he must do that (fill his stomach), then let him fill one third with food, one third with drink & one third with air.” Narrated by At-Tirmidhi (1381), Ibn Maajah (3349); classed as saheeh by Al-Albaani in As-Silsilah As-Saheehah (2265).

...and Allah knows best.

STORY

Firstly understand the definition of Definition of Socialism: Socialism is a political term applied to an economic system in which property is held in common and not individually, and relationships are governed by a political hierarchy. Common ownership doesn't mean decisions are made collectively, however. Instead, individuals in positions of authority make decisions in the name of the collective group.

An economics professor at a college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".. All grades will be averaged and everyone will receive the same grade so no one will fail and no one will receive an A.... (substituting grades for dollars - something closer to home and more readily understood by all).

After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy. As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little. The second test average was a D! No one was happy. When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

To their great surprise, ALL FAILED and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.

...Could not be any simpler than that.

These are possibly the 5 best sentences you'll ever read and all applicable to this experiment:

1. You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.
2. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.
3. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.
4. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!
5. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is the beginning of the end of any nation.

HEALTH TIP

BENIFITS OF COCONUT OIL

WEIGHT LOSS: Coconut oil is very useful in reducing weight . It contains short and medium-chain fatty acids that help in taking off excessive weight. It is also easy to digest and it helps in healthy functioning of the thyroid and enzymes systems. Further, it increases the body metabolism by removing stress on pancreases, thereby burning out more energy and helping obese and overweight people reduce their weight. Hence, people living in tropical coastal areas, who eat coconut oil daily as their primary cooking oil, are normally not fat, obese or overweight.

DIGESTION: Internal use of coconut oil occurs primarily as cooking oil. Coconut oil helps in improving the digestive system and thus prevents various stomach and digestion related problems including irritable bowel syndrome. The saturated fats present in coconut oil have anti microbial properties and help in dealing with various bacteria, fungi, parasites, etc., that cause indigestion. Coconut oil also helps in absorption of other nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

Wife: 'When we get married, I want to share all your worries, troubles and lighten your burden.'
Husband : 'It's very kind of you, darling, but I don't have any worries or troubles.'
Girl: 'Well that's because we aren't married yet.'

FIRST NIGHT:
Husband: 'Would you have married me if my father hadn't left me a fortune?'
'Honey,' the woman replied sweetly, Of course darling I wud'v have married you, NO MATTER WHO LEFT YOU A FORTUNE!'

FIRST MORNING:
Wife : 'Do you want breakfast?'
Husband: 'Sure! What are my choices?'
Wife: 'Yes or no.'

FIRST AFTERNOON:

Husband: Nothing.
Wife: 'Nothing...? You've been reading our marriage certificate for an hour.'
Husband: 'I was looking for the expiry date.'

FIRST EVENING:
