May Allah (SWT) grant us and all the Marhoomeen Forgiveness and Jannatul Firdaus (Aameen)

Once a Professor was giving a lecture to the university students about the power of positive attitude and thinking; and the power of words.

One of the students raised his hand and said, "I do not think words can change anything. They are mere words. Like if I keep saying: "Good fortune, Good fortune." That isn’t going to make me feel good. Nor does saying: "bad fortune, bad fortune" going to make me feel sad and depressed. They are just words and have no power whatsoever.

The Professor replied, "You Idiot, just shut up. You are such an ignorant fool that you do not understand a thing of what is being said."

The student was shocked, his face became red with anger and he started, "How dare you call me a fool!!! You are such a..." The Professor interrupted and said, "Please calm down, I didn’t mean to hurt you please forgive me for using such words" Then the Student calmed down.

The Professor resumed, "In fact that was the answer to your question. The words I just said had a tremendous effect on you although I had no such intention to upset you. The words still played their role. While the latter words I said calmed you down.

This clearly shows the "POWER OF WORDS"
The Student agreed with the Professor.
"Words can Inspire, Words can destroy. Choose Yours Well"
"Your Words Have Great Power. Use Them to Support and Inspire"

Sayyadina Ali Radiyallahu Anhu used to perform four Rak'ahs before Zuhr and used to say: "Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam also performed these four Rak'ahs after Zawaal, and recited long verses therein". (TIRMIZI)

Commentary: Imaam Ghazaali has stated in his Ihya Ulumid Deen, that it is desirable to recite the Surah Baqarah in these four Rak'ahs, or a similar Surah which consists of more than a hundred verses, so that a Sunnah of Sayyidina Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam could be practised in reciting a lengthy portion.

Things you did when you were a Kid…

  • Closed the fridge extremely slowly to see when the lights went off.
  • Would restart the video game whenever you knew you were going to lose
  • Had that one pen with four colors, and tried to push all the buttons at once
  • Waited behind a door to scare someone, and then leaving because they’re taking too long to come out.
  • Faked being asleep, so you could be carried to bed
  • Watching two drops of rain roll down window and pretending it was a race
  • The only thing you had to take care of was a school bag.
  • Walked into a room, forgot what you needed, Walked out, and then remembered.
  • Used to think that the moon followed your car
