Surah Al-Hashr (The Mustering, Bringing together)

This Surah was revealed in Madinah, and it has 24 verses and 3 sections

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most Merciful

(His purity is proclaimed by all that is in the heavens and the earth… 59:24)

COMMENTARY: That all creatures in the heavens and the earth declare the purity of Allah in unuttered language is self-evident: The wonderful, marvelous and amazing things created by Allah, and the awe-inspiring and staggering shapes fashioned by Him proclaim the praises of their Creator in unuttered language. However, it is possible too that the word 'Tasbeeh’; is used here in its real and literal sense, because according to the authentic view everything in this universe has some kind of sense that accords to its ability.

Now, the foremost and primary requirement of this sense is to recognize one's Creator and paying gratitude to Him. Based on this premise, it is not far-fetched to conceive that everything in nature really declares the purity of Allah in articulate language, though human ears might not be able to hear it. Thus the Qur'an on one occasion says: (“...but you do not understand their extolling.”) (17:44)

Your child misses you, longs to see you.
Hear your voice, run far from your wooden spoon. Just one chance to hear the worry in your voice when I'm sad or wipe your big big tears when I'm bruised or hurt.....
Eat from your food, taste from your tea. Steal your biscuits after gulping mine.
Will I get a chance to say how much I love you?
Who will listen to all my dreams and stories now?
Who will I complain to?
Who will hide all my secrets now?
Who will give me the soundest best advice without a fear in her heart or a quiver in her voice?
Who will keep my feet grounded when I wish to reach for the clouds and sail away in my dreams?
Who will smile at my childishness and laugh at my silliness?
Who will question me when I steal all the polony and milk to feed the stray cats?
Who will listen to my recital of the Quraan with a smile on her lips?
Who will shake me from the warm bed to pray Fajar when it’s freezing cold?
Who will I make a cup of tea for?
Who will keep me steadfast on the path of Islam and keep my journey to Allah pure?
Who will feed my love for literature and reading?
Who will give me moments of everlasting love?

Mamma...
I'm tired of asking who...
All I need is one last hug.
One last smile,
One last moment,
To say I love you.

Phyllo pastry
Melted butter
Icing sugar
Ground pistachio nuts

Combine almonds, sugar, pistachios, condensed milk and cardamon. Cut each phyllo sheet into 4 rectangles.Cover remaining phyllo with a damp cloth. Brush phyllo with melted butter and place 1 teaspoon of pistachio and almond mixture in the centre. Fold in sides and roll into a thin cigar shape. Brush cigars with melted butter and bake at 180* until light gold. Dust with icing sugar and sprinkle ground pistachio nuts when cool.
