Surah Al-Hashr (The Mustering, Bringing together) This Surah was revealed in Madinah, and it has 24 verses and 3 sections In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most Merciful "Those who believe, fear Allah, and everybody must consider what he [or she] has sent ahead for tomorrow..." 59:18 COMMENTARY: The concluding part of the Surah makes the believers conscious of their duty towards Allah and advises them to perform the righteous deeds regularly. "Those who believe, fear Allah, and everybody must consider what he [or she] has sent ahead for tomorrow..." 59:18 In an eloquent style, the verse enjoins upon the believers to take care of the Hereafter and commands them to prepare for it. The Hereafter is described as Ghad [tomorrowJ, which means the 'day after today'. It could mean the entire period of this world, compared to the Hereafter, is very short. ~ Ma’aariful Qur’an ~ |
