– May Allah protect him – delivered this Friday
Khutbah titled “Deeds that Weigh Heavily on the Scales
on Resurrection Day” in which he talked about the Muslim’s
duty to take advantage of his time and spend it in total obedience
to Allah, the Almighty. One does not know which good deed might
be the cause of Allah’s Mercy on him and which misdeed
might bring him Allah’s wrath. Throughout his Khutbah,
the Sheikh mentioned some of the deeds which might weigh heavily
on the servant’s scales on Resurrection Day. read

At times of distress the Messenger of Allah would say La 'ilãha 'illã 'allãhu 'al-`atheemu 'al-haleemu, la 'ilãha 'illã 'allãhu rabbul `arshil-`atheemi, la 'ilãha 'illã 'allãhu rabbus-samãwãti wa rabbul-'ardhi wa rabbul-`arshil-kareemi. There is no 'ilãh except Allah The Magnificent, The Forbearing. There is no 'ilãh except Allah Lord of the Magnificent Throne. THE GREATEST PARADOX EVER RECORDED Many years ago, a Law teacher came across a student who was willing to learn but was unable to pay the fees. The student struck a deal saying, "I will pay your fees the day I win my first case in court". The teacher agreed and proceeded with the law course. When the course was finished and teacher started pestering the student to pay up the fees. Fed up with this, the teacher decided to sue the student in a court of law and both of them decided to argue for themselves. The teacher put forward his argument saying: "If I win this case, as per the court of law, the student has to pay me as the case is about his non-payment of dues. However, if I lose the case, the student will still pay me because he would have won his first case. So, either way I will get my money". Equally brilliant, the student argued back saying: "If I win the case, as per the court of law, I will not need to pay anything to the teacher as the case is about my non-payment of dues. However, if I lose the case, I will not need to pay him because I haven't won my first case yet. So either way, I am not going to pay the teacher anything".
