Surah Al-Hadeed 57: - (The Iron)

With the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most-Merciful

(...so that you may neither grieve on what has escaped you, nor over-exult on what He has given you... 57:23)

COMMENTARY: Patience and Gratitude - (...so that you may neither grieve on what has escaped you, nor over-exult on what He has given you... 57:23)

This means that Allah has informed us of His encompassing knowledge, recording all things before they occur and creating all things in due measure known to Him, so that we may know that what has met us would never have missed us, and what has missed us would never have met us. Therefore, we are commanded not to over-grieve on the good things we have missed, nor to over-exult on the comforts or wealth we enjoyed in this life, and in turn be neglectful about Allah and the Hereafter. Sayyidna 'Abdullah Ibn 'Abbas RA says that it is man's natural disposition that certain things cheer him up and other things make him miserable, whereas the true position should have been as follows: When any misery befalls him, he should endure it with patience and earn reward in the Hereafter, and when he experiences joy, he should experience it with gratitude to Allah and earn reward in the Hereafter. [Reported by Hakim who rates it as SAHIH]

POEM
  SMILES AND BROKEN DREAMS...

I look into your eyes and I see your dreams
I see the longing and the expectations
I see the pain of all the previous rejections
I see the aching to be loved

I look at your face and see how hard you are trying to hide the all of the hurt of yesterday
Even though it is a broken smile, nonetheless it is there
Not everyone can see it and not everyone can understand nor do they even care…
Not even all the sorrows and heartache can erase it
Not even the suffering and pain can keep it away…

That is the human in us that will always find a way to get up and fight again
No matter what life has thrown to us
No matter what the past has put us through
No matter how some people has made us feel
Nothing can keep our spirit down for too long.

We wake up each day and it is up to is to decide whether it will be a good or bad day...
Just as we decide between right and wrong.
Its not always easy but yet we do it!!
That is because we are all here for a purpose and we are not in control of that.
Humans aren't able to make decisions regarding certain matters and it's very hard to accept but it is all in the capable Hands of the Almighty.

Accept yourself and your fate and always do the best you can.
That's all that we can do.
Dream your dreams and build upon it.
Never let your smile be dimmed or stolen away anyone or anything, because that is your trademark and only that is what the world needs!

THE SMILE

TWIN BEDS

An older couple was asking for a room with a king, queen or double bed. The clerk apologized and said that the only rooms available had twin beds.

Disappointed, the man remarked, "I don't know. We've been sharing the same bed for 44 years."

"Could you possibly put them close together?" the wife asked.

Several people nearby smiled, and someone commented, "How romantic."

Then the woman finished her request with, "Because if he snores, I want him close enough to be able to punch him."
