Characteristics of Hypocrites in the Qur'an and the Sunnah

His Eminence Sheikh Khalid ibn Ali al-Ghamdi – May Allah protect him – delivered the Friday Khutbah entitled "Characteristics of Hypocrites in the Qur'an and the Sunnah" in which he warned against hypocrisy and hypocrites, and explained that hypocrisy is divided into two categories: major and minor. He cited the most typical characteristics of hypocrites as revealed in the verses of the Clear Book to expose them and disclose their hypocrisy. The Sheikh equally mentioned some defining features of minor hypocrisy lest they gradually develop into major hypocrisy; we seek refuge in Allah from such a characteristic. read more

SOYA SAUCE LOLLIES

Kebaab Mix
1 Kg Chicken mince - Ground Green Masala to taste - 1 tsp ground Dhana / coriander - 1 tsp ground Jeeru/cumin - Salt to taste - 4 slices bread (soaked and squeezed) - 1 Egg & 1 cup ground almonds - 1 tsp Lemon Pepper - Chopped green Dhana & green onions.

Sauce
1/4 cup soya sauce - ¼ cup tomato sauce - ¼ cup oil - 1 tsp red chilli powder.

Method
Mix all Kebaab ingredients together. Process mixture in magimix or food processer for 2/3 minutes. If the mixture is too soft more breadcrumbs can be added. Roll into Kebaabs and mould around top of a skewer (kebab stick) to resemble a lolly. If the stick is to long break it in half make two lollies out of one stick. Pack lollies in a pot add ½ cup water and allow to steam on slow heat until all the water has evaporated. Combine all sauce ingredients and pour over kebabs. Allow to steam just for a little while longer – just for the sauce to warm and seep into the kebabs. It must be saucy. Serve on a platter by placing the lollies first and pouring the sauce over it. Enjoy with chips and salad.

NB: These lollies can be prepared well in advance and kept frozen.

"Nature is a gift from God and in every blade of grass is a sermon," a preacher once told his congregation.

The next day, the preacher was mowing his lawn when a member of his congregation came along. He stood and watched the preacher mow for a while. Then, nodding his head in approval, he said, "Way to go, preacher, cut them short."
