THE FRIDAY KHUTBAH (sermon)

Manifestations of ‘Cooperation in Righteousness and Piety’

By Sheikh Abdul-Rahman al-Sudais - 21 Rabiul Awwal 1437

His Eminence Sheikh Abdul-Rahman al-Sudais –May Allah protect him– delivered this Friday khutbah entitled “Manifestations of Cooperation in Righteousness and Piety.” He talked about a great principle and a straight approach which inspires hope and restores the Ummah’s confidence in its fundamentals, leading personalities, and achievements. It is namely cooperation in righteousness and piety. He stressed the importance of this principle to Muslims, especially in modern life, and showed its great impact and results which we feel and will be realised if Muslims cooperated, entered into an alliance, and held fast to the two divine revelations. read more

WHEN ENTERING A MARKET PLACE

The Messenger of Allah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said: "Whoever enters the marketplace and says: ‘Lã 'ilãha 'illã 'allãhu wahdahu lã shareeka lahu, lahul mulku, wa lahul hamdu, yuhyee wa yumeetu, wa huwa hayyun lã yamootu, biyadihil khayru, wa huwa 'alã kulli shay'in qadeerun...’

Allah would write for him one thousand thousand merits, would remit from him one thousand thousand sins, and would raise for him [his status] one thousand thousand levels". (TIRMITHI)

There is none worthy of worship except Allah, no partner does He have; his is the Kingdom, and to Him is all Praise; He livens, and mortifies; and He is alive; never to die. In his Hand is all good, and He is well able to do everything.

TOOTH FAIRY

After losing another tooth, young-old Timmy became more curious about the mysterious tooth fairy.
Finally putting two and two together, he came right out and asked his mother, “Mom, are you the tooth fairy?”

Assuming he was old enough to hear the truth, she replied, “Yes Timmy, I am.”
Timmy seemed to take this news quite well.

But as he headed for the door, he slowly turned back toward his mother with a curious look on his face and said, “Wait a minute mom. How do you get into the other kids’ houses?”
