Abud-Darda' (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (Peace Be Upon Him) said, "When a person curses somebody or something, the curse goes up to the heaven and the gates of heaven get closed. Then it comes down to the earth and its gates get closed. Then it turns right and left, and if it does not find an entrance to go anywhere, it returns to the person or thing that was cursed; if he or it deserves to be cursed; otherwise it returns to the person who uttered it.'' [Abu Dawud]

Commentary: Al-La`nah (curse) means deprivation of Allah's Mercy. We learn from this Hadith that the act of cursing is such that one who does it can become himself a victim of it. One should, therefore, abstain from cursing.

MALVA PUDDING WITH IDEAL MILK SAUCE

Ingredients
60G Margarine - 1 Cup Flour - 1 Cup Milk - 1 tsp apricot jam - 1 tsp Bicarb - ½ Cup sugar - 2 tsps vinegar - 1 tsp baking powder - 1 Egg - Salt to Taste.

Sauce
1 cup Sugar - ½ Cup Butter - ½ Cup Boiling Water - 1 Cup Ideal Milk.

Method
Beat the egg and sugar well, cream in the butter. Mix the Bicarb and milk together and set aside. Blend all other ingredients into the butter mixture and add the milk and blend well. Turn batter into a greased oven tray and bake for 40/60 minutes till skewer inserted comes out clean.

Sauce
Mix all ingredients together over a low heat, Pour warm sauce over the hop pudding, pricking the pudding with a skewer to absorb the sauce.
