The Masjid, where souls are touched and hearts unite. A place of worship, a place of peace, a place of reflection.

We learn from a Hadith that there is no piece of earth more beloved to Allah than a Masjid.

Abu Huraira R.A. reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The most beloved of places to Allah are the Masaajid…” (Muslim)

After considering the importance of a Masjid in a community, Radio Islam International realized the need to recognize and acknowledge excellence. Subsequently, in conjunction with the Jamiatul Ulama South Africa and the Beacon Masjid Awards in the UK, the Radio Islam Masjid Awards was launched and is now set to take place on 24 August 2019 in Johannesburg.

Surah Ar-Rahman (The All-Merciful)

This Surah is Madani, and it has 78 verses and 3 sections
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most-Merciful

"And for the one who is fearful of having to stand before his Lord, there are two gardens" [46]
"So, which of the bounties of your Lord will you deny?" [47]

COMMENTARY: In Verse 46, the phrase, (for the one who is fearful of having to stand before his Lord... 55:46) refers, according to most exegetes of the Qur'an, to standing before Allah on the Day of Resurrection to give the account of one's deeds. The word 'fearful' signifies that he is mindful under all conditions, whether in public or in private, that one day he has to appear in the Court of Allah to give an account of his deeds. Evidently, such a person will never go near the sinful acts.

Other exegetes, like Qurtubi and others, interpret this to mean: 'the one who is fearful of the Station of His Lord'. That is, he is mindful of the High Station of Allah whereby He is watchful and keeps guard over his words and deeds, overt or covert. All his movements and activities are known to Him. This explanation is close to the previous explanation, in that Allah's keeping guard over him will keep him away from sins.

The Universe

A condensed drop of water falls from the roof.
The drop lands onto the windscreen of the car.
The drop rolls slowly leaving a trail, like a meteorite.
The water evaporates after a while.

A drop of water can explain the universe.
A drop of water holds the secret of all the oceans.
It could be a universe containing life.
That instant could have been an eternity,
For the life form, it holds,

Like our observable universe 90 billion light years in diameter.
It's just a drop in the vastness of endless space.
Allah brought it into existence in an instant.
The universe will eventually evaporate into nothingness.

LEG ROAST

Ingredients
Full leg 
Marinade : 
1 tablespoon garlic 
1 teaspoon ginger 
1 teaspoon red masala 
2 tablespoon Robertson BBQ spice 
1 tablespoon steak and chops spice 
1 teaspoon black pepper 
1 teaspoon garlic and herb 
1 teaspoon crushed red chillies 
1 ½ teaspoon dhana powder / crushes dhana 
½ teaspoon whole jeera seeds 
Salt to taste 
1 tablespoon vinegar 
1 tablespoon Worcester sauce 
Sauce : 
2 tablespoon steers peri 
2 tablespoon tomato sauce 
1 teaspoon mustard sauce 
2 tubal steers garlic sauce 
1 tablespoon steers BBQ sauce 
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Method
Marinade leg over night for flavor to sink in with all the spices .  Add the leg into a pressure cooker with some water and give it 4 to 5 whistles ( if you don't have a pressure cooker , cook in a large pot until soft and tender ) add water if necessary .  Do this 30 minutes before serving .  In a huge Pyrex dish add the cooked leg pouring all the sauce over the leg , add some blobs of butter and let in cook in a preheated oven until the sauce starts to simmer .
