Surah An-Najam 53: - (The Star)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Most-Merciful

"It is taught to him by one [angel] of strong faculties..." 53:5

COMMENTARY: ("It is taught to him by one [angel] of strong faculties..." 53:5) From here upto the eighteenth verse, the subject-matter is the revelation from Allah. It has been established that the Qur'an is a record of verbal revelation vouchsafed to the Noble Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa sallam). There is no room for doubt about the fact that it is the very Words of Allah. It was sent down in such a way that no possibility of confusion or error ever existed.

Divergent Interpretation of the Verses of Najm Regarding these verses of Surah Najm, two divergent interpretations of the leading commentators are reported. The summary of one interpretation is that all these verses relate to the incident of Mi'raaj (Ascension of the Noble Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa sallam) to the heavens). As a result, words and phrases like 'Shadid-ul-Quwa' (One of strong faculties), 'dhu mirrah' (one of vigour) 'Fastaw' (he stood poised), and 'danaa fatadalla' (then he drew near, and came down,) are all qualities and actions of Allah. (It means that Allah Ta'ala has taught the Noble Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa sallam) directly without any media, and that he came close to Him. The Quran further speaks of Vision [Ru'yah and Witnessing [MushAhadah]. They too have been taken to mean the Vision and Witnessing of Allah. Among the noble Companions, Sayyidna Anas and Ibn Abbas RA have adopted this interpretation. In Tafsir Mazhari too this interpretation has been given preference.

In recognition of our dear Father's.
My mirror to the world...

You held my hand and protected me
till you breathe your last.
You held true your every promise,
and fulfilled every duty of a father.
Through the tough times you endured,
you thought of my future, my safety, my life, my everything.
Everything was about me, me and more me.
and I realised that.
When I think of you dad, my heart swells with pride and joy
coupled with a cloud of tears because I miss you so much.
You are the hero of my childhood and my everyday forever.

My mirror to the world.
In good times, you spent lavishly on me,
never depriving me of the luxuries,
and not a soul knew.
But daddy, I knew.
There were never any bad times,
If there were, you never made it known.
I am forever grateful for the life's lessons.
You are the hero of my childhood and my everyday forever.

My mirror to the world.
You're the image I seek in love,
but unfortunately, the mould of uniqueness broke.
I'm proud to be your daughter.
My hero of my childhood and my everyday forever.
My mirror to the world.

During a faculty meeting at our school, our principal grew frustrated with the lack of attention he felt was his due.

Raising his voice, he shouted, “Listen, people. Communication is a two-way street. When I talk, you have to listen.”
