HADITH (Traditions of the Prophet Muhammad Peace be Upon Him)

STAYING IN YOUR HOME DURING AN EPIDEMIC - YOU GET THE REWARD OF A MARTYR*

Sayyadatina Aisha RA narrates that she asked the Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) about a plaque. The Prophet Muhammad (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said: “It is a blessing for a believer… If a person in the time of an epidemic plague stays in their home patiently hoping for Allah's reward and believing that nothing will afflict them except what Allah has written for them, they will get the reward of a martyr.”

*(Sahih Bukhari 3474 and the wording if Bukhari is 'stay in their land.', Musnad Ahmed 26319)*
__________
This includes everyone that has patience, hopes in the reward and has reliance (fully on Allah, whilst taking the means). Regardless of whether they passed away due to an epidemic disease or did not die.

Ibn Hajar in explaining this Hadith says: “The wording of the Hadith indicates that whoever fulfills the descriptions mentioned has the rewards of a martyr even if they didn't die.

The Psychiatrist's Test

A mother was worried that her three-year-old son was unusually precocious and took him to a psychiatrist.

"Right," said the shrink, "We'll just try a few simple tests." To the boy, he said "Say a few words - anything that comes to your mind."

The three year old boy turned to his mother and asked, "Does he want logically constructed sentences or just a few random and purely isolated words?"
