Significance of Al Isra

AL-Isra’ is the defining moment for Muslims in emphasizing the significance of Jerusalem. It is a clear indication that Allah chose Jerusalem over any other place on earth from which to take the Prophet ﷺ on the Night Journey. More specifically, ﷲ could have taken the Prophet ﷺ directly from Makkah to the heavens but instead ﷲ chose this city which He has blessed. Thus, it should become apparent to the Ummah that Jerusalem holds barakah or blessings and this should remain at the forefront of our minds. It is also of note that Jerusalem did not become important to Muslims because of the Night Journey but rather the Prophet ﷺ was taken via Jerusalem because of its prior importance. Musjid-al-Aqsa

The calligraphy, in the shape of a rose is written ‘Musjid-al-Aqsa’ in arabic and is done in the colours of the Palestinian flag.

Bricks and mortar on a blessed land.
So strong and firm may you always stand.
Residing within you, the Dome of The Rock.
A place where people pray and flock.

A place where Allah’s blessings descend,
And many a mans weak prayers ascend.
A blessing for humanity and creatures alike,
It’s not the size of the guns, but the heart in the fight.

A witness to Prophets and miracles before,
A place of love and beauty amongst war.
Our hearts are with you O Palestine,
Home to a place so pure and Devine.

Forever blessed are your precious lands.
In supplication for you, we lift our hands.

Blossoming amongst the thorns,
Musjid-al-Aqsa,
You are but a desert rose...

Chicken Roll (Tortilla Wrap)

• ½ kg sliced chicken fillet
• ½ tsp ginger/garlic paste
• ½ tsp Paprika powder
• 1tbs Peri Peri sauce
• 1tsp Chilli powder
• ½ tsp turmeric
• Salt & Pepper
• 1 small green and red peppers cut in small pieces
• 1tbs of finely chopped spring onion
• 1tbs Olive oil

Marinate the chicken for 1 hr with above spices then cook until done. Once cool add 2tbs of mayonnaise & 1tbs chilli sauce . Mix well.

Take a wrap add cooked chicken and grated cheese fold both sides and seal end with (water flour paste) like Spring Roll.

• Dip in milk.
• Roll In breadcrumbs.
• Fry in hot oil until golden.
• Enjoy with Salads.

Catch Anything Yet?

Sitting on the bank of a stream a young fisherman trolled his bait lazily in the water and chewed comfortably on a blade of grass.

"Catch anything yet?" asked the stranger.

"Nope," murmured the fishermen.

"That's strange. It appears to be such a fine stream for trout," said the stranger.

"It must be," replied the fishermen, "they refuse to leave it."
