HOW TO HOLD THE MISWAAK

Question: What is the recommended way to hold the Miswaak?

Answer: It is Sunnah to hold the Miswaak in the right hand in such a way that your thumb and small finger are under the Miswaak, and your three remaining fingers will be on the upper side.

Apple crumble recipe

Ingredients

125g butter or margerine
¾ cup sugar
½ tsp vanilla essence
1 egg
2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
2 tblsp apricot jam
1 tin pie apples or 2 big apples thinly sliced
1 0r 2 tsps cinnamon powder

Method
set oven to 180.  grease a 2 cm pie dish/pyrex. cream butter sugar and vanilla essence. beat in 1 egg. work in flour and baking powder…must be a slightly  sticky mixture. divide dough into 2 equal parts. press one half into pie dish. cover bottom with jam. place apple slices on top. sprinkle cinnamon powder. grate remaining half of dough. bake for 40 minutes until brown
