Coconut Biscuits

¼ lb butter (125g)
3 eggs
¾ cup castor sugar
2 cups desiccated coconut
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Flour to make soft dough

Method:
Beat butter & sugar till creamy. Add eggs & mix well. Add vanilla essence & coconut & mix. Lastly add baking Powder & flour slowly to form soft dough. Roll out to 1cm thickness. Scrape with fork. Sprinkle thousand sweets cut into fancy shapes first & then put sweets & bake in 180 – 200degrees oven

My appointment as Leader of our organisation coincided with our organisation's appeal for aid for victims of a hurricane. Unfortunately, on my first day, the centre page of the organisation's bulletin was accidentally omitted. So members of the organisation read from the bottom of the second page to the top of the last page: "Welcome to the Hon. Alex Jensen and his family ... the worst disaster to hit the area in this century. The full extent of the tragedy is not yet known."
