Radio Islam International listeners are advised that our service provider, Sentech, has completed a major upgrade to their satellite systems.

This upgrade has resulted in a change to the symbol rate, which means that many decoders need to be manually retuned to continue receiving Radio Islam.

Please note that Radio Islam’s old frequencies will be switched off on the 17th of October 2025. Listeners must retune their decoders before this date to avoid losing access.

We’ve provided simple step-by-step guides below for both the Radio Islam Small Decoder (2023 model) and the Auto Scan Decoders (2015 models). A video has also been included here to make the process even easier.

Kindly note that some older decoder models will unfortunately no longer be compatible after this upgrade.

Updated Satellite Parameters
As of now, the correct settings in use for the Radio Islam Service are:
• Frequency: 12722
• Symbol Rate: 30000
• Polarity: Vertical

From 18 October 2025, these settings (12722 / 30000 / Vertical, 35K transponder) will remain the permanent ones going forward. This confirmation ensures all receivers are configured correctly without disruption.

It's one big lemon washed and cut in quarters

1 cup sugar and 1 litre water liquidise/blend the lemon with skin for a minute on high strain it and then take a handful of mint leaves washed and blend in ½ liter water and ¼ cup sugar you can

Add more sugar according to your taste if u want it sweeter or more tangy

Bottle it and can be served icy cold or like a slushy drink

SUMMER SPARKLE 3-liter cream soda, 3-liter sprite, 1 bottle 750ml passionfruit cordial, 1-liter orange juice, 1 liter litchi juice. Garnish with lemon slices, mint leaves n granadilla pulp. Makes a lot

K9 partner

It was the end of the day when I parked my police van in front of the station. As I gathered my equipment, my K9
partner, Jake, was barking, and I saw a little boy staring in at me. "Is that a dog you got back there?" he asked.

"It sure is," I replied.

Puzzled, the boy looked at me and then towards the back of the van. Finally, he said, "What did he do?"
