Ad Description: ? Intermediate Life Support (ILS) ParamedicThe ILS Paramedic provides pre-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for patients. This role requires delivering intermediate-level clinical interventions, stabilizing patients, and ensuring safe transfer to medical facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to emergency calls and assess patient conditions
Provide intermediate life support care (airway management, IV therapy, medication administration within scope)
Stabilize patients before and during transport
Operate and maintain ambulance equipment
Monitor vital signs and document patient care accurately
Communicate effectively with hospitals and emergency teams
Ensure compliance with healthcare protocols and safety standards
Minimum Requirements:
Qualified ILS certification (HPCSA registered in South Africa)
Valid driver’s license with PDP
Minimum 2–3 years relevant EMS experience
Strong knowledge of emergency care procedures
Key Competencies:
Critical thinking and decision-making
Ability to work under pressure
Strong communication and teamwork skills
High level of professionalism and empathy
